The Piano Sonata No 2 by Chopin is best known for the funeral march in the third movement.  That march has been immortalized from its appearances in cartoons, commercials, TV and film.  While it evokes visions and memories of cartoon characters and comedy for some, it reminds the Chinese pianist, Yuja Wang (YOO-zha Wong) of home.

I left home when I was 14, which kind of have the similarity with Chopin who was always homesick and nostalgic about his homeland and I do miss the people, I do miss my parents, so I think the music really speaks to me and when the music speak to me I think the listener catch that as well and that’s how I communicate with music."
