"Most harpists I know are not angelic with long flowing curly hair and white dresses.  We don't look like that and we don’t think like that, and as a harpist I find that I have to be even perhaps heartier and studier than most because I have to sling that 120 pound instrument around quite often.  And, you know it's a four limbed endeavor too.  Your body needs to be in good shape - you need to really wrap yourself around that harp and be in charge.  So you can't be a tiny, little, diminutive, weak thing and do it."
