Not taking folic acid before pregnancy

According to a study of more than 85,000 women in Norway (that’s a big study!), those who took Folic Acid before getting pregnant were 40% less likely to have their child develop Autism.
Women are putting their unborn babies at risk by ignoring expert advice to take folic acid before they get pregnant, a study has claimed.

While Folic Acid is a B vitamin that can be found naturally in rich leafy greens, black-eyed peas, and rice, it’s recommended that women take a prenatal pill at least up to four weeks before getting pregnant (ideally 2-3 months before). If you’re a sexually active female who’s not on the birth control pill, just take Prenatals!
