How get pregnant on the pill

Women under 30 years old are incredibly fertile—their ability to get pregnant is at its peak. All reversible birth control methods will help prevent pregnancy while you’re using them, but none have long-lasting effects on your ability to get pregnant when you stop. Let’s look, for example, at how long it takes for women to get pregnant when they quit the Pill compared to when they quit non-hormonal fertility awareness methods (FAM, sometimes called natural family planning). If you had sex with a new partner and didn’t use a condom, you can still protect yourself by getting tested.

It’s crazy to think about how far medicine has come and the great options that we have available.
Some women’s bodies go back to their natural ovulation cycle quickly, and some take a little longer.
The Depo Provera shot is known to stay in your body longer than other birth control methods. If you decide you want to get pregnant while on Depo Provera, it is important to try to plan ahead and stop your injections as soon as possible. Getting pregnant after IUD is different than getting pregnant after the Depo Provera shot or the birth control pill.

Your ovulation should return to normal shortly after the device has been removed.  If you use condoms as your birth control method, you are lucky because condoms contain no hormones at all.
That’s why women who use the Pill but accidentally forget to take it for a few days can get pregnant that month.
A big study of over 2,000 women who quit the Pill after using it for an average of seven years found that 21% were pregnant in one month and 79% were pregnant in a year. Luckily, getting tested for Chlamydia or Gonorrhea is easy and painless: you just pee in a cup. Women can delay pregnancy for as long as they want or need to, with a simple daily pill, a shot 4 times a year, or a small device implanted in their body. When you decide that you are ready to conceive and stop taking the birth control pill, your body will usually quickly expel the hormones from the birth control pills within a few days.
Some women get pregnant within a few weeks of stopping the pill, and for some women, it might take a few months. While the birth control pill’s hormones only last a few days, the hormones from the Depo Provera shot are continuously administered by the shot. Otherwise, it could be 9-12 months or even longer before the hormones are out of your system, and even longer before your ovulation cycles return to normal.
Women who stopped using FAM had very similar rates of pregnancy, with 20-25% pregnant in one month and 80% pregnant in a year.

For some women who stop using the implant or the shot (Depo-Provera), it can take a few extra months to start normal menstrual cycles again. It’s easy to treat with antibiotics, but it’s sneaky: three in four women with Chlamydia don’t know they have it because they have no symptoms. If you are going off the pill, and don’t get pregnant within 6 to 9 months, it might be a good idea to see your doctor to make sure there is not an underlying problem. In other words, women who quit the Pill get pregnant just as fast as other women, even if they’ve used the Pill for years. There may be a delay of up to two months after stopping the implant and up to six months after stopping the shot, but this varies from person to person, and most women get pregnant soon after stopping these methods. If you test positive, you can tell a partner he or she should get tested and treated using an anonymous e-card.
The longer a woman has an untreated STI like Chlamydia or Gonorrhea, the higher the chance that it will cause scarring in the tubes that connect her ovaries and uterus. That scarring makes it difficult for an egg to travel the right direction, and hurts her chances of getting pregnant in the future.
