Tool organization is not one of my strong suits, so when Veto Pro Pac said they wanted to send me one of their tools bags to review, I happily accepted. Heavy duty is something you can feel with the Veto Pro Pac bags; they are heavy even when empty.
Be sure tho check out the video below, where I can really show you the features of the Veto Pro Pac LC. By Trade Articles and reviews that are trade-specific or suited particularly for a specific trade.

If a normal tool bag is a 1 bedroom apartment, the Veto Pro Pac LC is Donald Trump’s penthouse suite at the 58th floor of Trump Tower.
I know we started with the interior, but let’s back out to the exterior for a moment.
The handle is made of a durable thick rubber that overmolds the polypropylene structure riveted into the double-thick fabric. The new Tech Pac-1 backpack was designed for tradesmen and other professional users, and is boasted to be an industry-first when it comes to storage efficiency. While other backpack tool bags are just mass market consumer backpacks with added tool pockets, Veto Pro Pac has once again redefined a product category with the TECH PAC-1.Whether you are climbing ladders, working in the city, or transporting a variety of tools across long distances when running back to the truck is not possible, the Veto Pro Pac TECH PAC-1 is for professional tradesmen who need the design benefit of a functional tool bag as a backpack.
Toolmonger has featured their line of tool bags before, and the posts generated responses from a number of readers, including Roger Brouard, owner and founder of Veto Pro Pac. Without that feature, has Veto made a watered-down version of the original — or has their OT bag filled a whole new need? The bags are double sided, with pockets that can be described as stadium seating for your hand tools.

They use 1800 denier fabric that has been infused with PVC to become waterproof, they use heavy duty zippers, feature the inside stiffener, and use a solid 3mm polypropylene bottom. They are expensive compared to others, but you can see that the build quality is much better.
Also check back next month (in a few days) where I will announce a giveaway to win a new Veto Pro Pac LC. This is what’s known as a closed bag, meaning that you can literally zip it up and all of your tools are protected from the elements and ready to go. It’s small enough that it won’t hold every single tool you own, but why would you want it to? We really enjoyed using it, but more than that, we appreciated the durability of the product. Veto bags are professional grade, industrial strength storage systems designed to keep tools where they belong, within easy reach, protected from work site hazards. Import charges previously quoted are subject to change if you increase you maximum bid amount.
The plus side about this is your tools are always within reach, you don’t have to go looking for your tools and if something is missing you will know right away.
You might be unfamiliar with Veto Pro Pac because they are not something you will find in your local bigbox store, but they have become popular amongst contractors because of their design functionality, and high quality build.
Meaning, the pockets in the back are highest, with each row in front being lower and lower. All of these features add to the weight of the bag, but as we learned years ago, something that is heavy for its size usually means it is quality made. When you’re ready to use the bag, you can then unzip it, roll down the flaps, and secure them using the included snaps. The handle contains the Veto Pro Pac logo and is ribbed so your hands can grab it even when oily and not let go. It’s not just for hand tools, but is flexible enough to handle a very wide assortment of tools, wrenches, pliers, screwdrivers, bits and blades. It’s nice to have a bag that can be tossed around without concern for the safety of its contents or the bag itself. Designed for professional tradesmen, Veto bags are built to withstand the rigors of day-to-day use on and off the job site. If you reside in an EU member state besides UK, import VAT on this purchase is not recoverable.
It fits pry bars, levels and saws with ease and the included framing square slot with protective sock are a great add in.
The rings on the outside are thick and the nylon stitching is clean.  At the base of the bag is the 3mm thick polypropylene waterproof base attached by marine grade rivets. On the other side there are some zippered pockets and a magnetic holder for your safety glasses. Because the bags are specific to hand tools, they do a really god job at storage and organization. I already mentioned that I have four bags that I don't use, and at $20 a piece, I am out $80. Now, with that said, what you need to understand is that all that extra weight isn’t there for no reason. It’s nearly infinitely configurable and tough enough that we never felt like we had to baby it or do anything other than simply shove our tools into place and pull them out when needed. Load them down and you will need to be willing to carry around 50-60 pounds of tools around with you – perhaps leaving a larger bag in the back of the truck is more the design. He hopes his efforts at PTR will provide builders and contractors with reliable and engaging tool reviews to help them make better tool purchasing decisions.
The outside of the bag is made of PVC impregnated 1800 denier, making the bag weatherproof.  The center of the bag includes the patented integrated center divider which helps separate your tools and allows easy access.
To make sure the bags stay upright, Veto Pro Pac has used a stiffener that is sandwiched between both sides of the bag.
Not only does the solid bottom allow the bag to be placed in standing water, mud, snow, etc, the bags used hook & loop to keep the shoulder strap off of the ground and out of the water.
The other side of the bag includes three vertical pockets that are perfect for your carpenter’s pencil or a thicker marker.

For the LC, however, this is a bag you can pick and and go with, and it’s something we felt could be just as easily customized for the electrician as the air mechanical professional, carpenter or plumber. Tool bags come in all kinds of shapes and sizes, but it won’t take long to find that when you shop around, the Veto Pro Pac comes across as competitively priced for its quality and intended audience.
The industrial zippers are big and easy to grab with work gloves on and the added outside mounted stainless steel tape measure clip is a nice touch.
They have also included a protective sock and a framing square slot to prevent damage to your tools. They will have a large area for power tools that offers little protection, then as a selling point they stitch in pockets around the perimiter that don't work very well. The LC bag has a total of 57 pockets with most being on the inside, with a few on the outside. Veto Pro Pac finally offers people tool bags that will last, includes a 5 year warranty, and best of all, protects my tools. The pockets are intelligently laid out and of enough varying sizes that it’s easy to insert a ton of tools in places where they make sense and fit well. We kept looking at it and loading and unloading tools to pick and choose which direction we wanted to go. You’ll pay much more then the $130 asking price for a decent tool – why not for a tool bag that will keep them organized and safe? As with all the other bags the sides fold down and snap to keep the flap out of the way so you can see your tools.  The rugged fold-able ABS handle has Velcro circles on it to hold the included padded shoulder strap out of the way when not in use. Another common option is the bucket bags; I consider these a step up from the duffel type bags, but they too have their problems.
An outside tape measure holder and masking tape holder are also signs of a well thought out bag. Both sides of the bag are identically appointed, with the same pockets and compartments separated by the center fabric-lined stiff plastic divider. In the end, I think we just need to grab another bag – something I bet will be the conclusion of many who jump into a really robust portable tool bag storage solution like this. They can be awkward to carry because of the tools around the outside, and I never liked having my tools on display for all to see. The number of pockets is pretty high for such a small bag, and of course they are counting the small drill bit pockets, but you can fit well over 57 tools in the LC bag.
On top of that the fabric is PVC impregnated, making it more resistant to abrasion, water, and tearing. In addition to the open pockets, there are zippered storage compartments both inside and out. While the company makes a wide variety of tool bags, we’re betting this one is one of their more popular models. Speaking of abrasion, the entire bottom of the case is made of a 3mm thick polypropylene (plastic) which means you can plop this case down in a puddle and it will be fine. In particular, a wide, but shallow pocket exists at the top inside of each side of the bag which seems perfect for reciprocating saw blades and smaller drill bits. Of course the total amount of tools you can carry depends on what type to tools you use, or the amount of weight you can carry. It also means that you can jam sharper tools down into it and not worry about them cutting through the bottom and tearing the bag to pieces. On the front of each zippered cover are two more zippered compartments – a shallow one on top and a medium-depth one just below it. The areas of the bag that fasten material to plastic are secured by Marine brand steel rivets that looked solid to us and were placed on top of doubled over, double-stitched fabric. These will be limited if you still want the capability of folding down the panel to convert your tool bag to an open-format, but it’s excellent use of space and the additional material beeps up the bag even further.
