Craftsman Universal Miter Saw StandUniversal Miter Saw Stand Takes Your Work Anywhere Make using your miter saw easier with this Craftsman Universal Miter Saw Stand from Sears.
I have put it together and place my saw on it but haven’t used it much more than a little the first time. Craftsman Mitre Saw Stand High quality universal mitre stand at $50 which is a great price. I originally bought my saw without a stand only to have a difficult time using it when I was cutting long pieces of wood. In organizing my tool room, this stand provided a sound support for my miter and the material I was cutting. I got this item on sale for $67, down from the normal price of about $100 so I thought I would try it out!The construction and configuration is similar to the saw stands produced by Skil and Ryobi.
It is very wonderful to hold the saw and not have to have someone else help hold the boards and it is portable great!!!! The stand seems well built and it is sturdy, but I doubt it would hold up to serious heavy usage. This stand is the perfect compliment to your miter saw because it provides a saw stand as well as support for your cutting materials. I’ve had this stand for a little over a year and have twice had the red plastic clamping lever break on me.
Bought this and several more mounts so I could quick swap tools because I have very limited room.
Not designed universal, you can not mount miter saw brackets in proper holes because unit is to wide.
Craftsman Universal Miter Saw Stand Bought this one on sale for a great price and works very well.
Good enough for a pro I wanted a saw stand that was sturdy, easy to move, easy to use, with rollers and reasonably priced. If you can’t put this stand together and attach your saw without instructions, then you shouldn’t be operating the saw! This chop saw stand makes a simple, but hard to use saw into a reliable and easy to use tool.
THE NEW STAND IS MUCH STRONGER THAN THE EIGHT YEAR OLD ONE.THE OLD ONE THE ENDS WERE ON ONE ROD. I used my mitre saw stand for the first time this week when I was cutting some brick for a landscaping project that I was doing. I bought stand to assist me in cutting vinyl siding, it gives the support needed for a clean square cut, Simple with a sturdy design.
Not Universal The price was cheap, but, after I got it home and started putting it together, I realized it would not fit my Delta Miter saw. Since I do work for my sister on the farm, plus my son at his various rental properties, I really needed something that was easy to move, set up and use. I saw this particular miter stand in the most recent Craftsman Club Saver Event and decided to check it out.
Purchased this item to be able to work above the ground level when doing home fence replacement and other home projects. Sturdy, quality craftsmanship and durable, natural hardwoods ensure that this night stand will become an heirloom for your children to enjoy as well!

It features a unique, clean, Arts and Crafts styling that will add a chic, understated elegance to any contemporary bedroom.
With mounting boards, this miter saw stand can be used with all Craftsman miter saws and all other popular miter saws in the market.
The brackets of this universal stand fit most 10- and 12-inch miter saws, as well as other bench top tools, for hassle-free mounting and removal.
I needed to keep the tables in my shop free of my Craftsman sliding miter saw in order to keep a clean, flat and level surface for building projects and the stand solved that problem great. The product is good overall, more geared to a low end user and in the absence of a any type of work table.
Upon unpacking the box there is some visible rust on the chrome extension bars, and some of the nuts that hold the adjustment knobs have rust in the threads. This is great because we can fit boxes under it, however it’d be nice if the side rollers could fold in more. The mounting bracket mount at a slight angle on the bottom of my saw, but not enough of an angle that it prevents it from clamping onto the stand.
The stand its self is well made and well designed for the price point, the problem is the extra mounts are poorly designed and even worse built. Very good if cutting a lot of boards the same size because the stand has built in stops when adjusted which is simple to move in the position needed.
I got my dad one a few years back and it has slides instead of rollers, the rollers was a big improvement and the way you attach the saw works a lot better also. This one fit the bill better than any other I found and the quality was much higher than most.
I was a little skeptical of its quality and left it in the box for a while, thinking for the price it was probably cheap made and would just take it back. What I really liked about it was that it can fold up pretty flat and that it includes the rollers.
Only bad thing I can say is the stop guides are not squared to the workpieces, even after many adjustmentss to the quick release mounting brackets. After that everything either folds or clamps making it very portable if you need to move from place to place. My twelve year old easily stripped a couple of the bolts during assembly, and she is not very strong.
Was easy to assembly, the directions were not to clear when assembly of the quick release mount to the different Miter Saw bases. This supportive stand offers a compact design that is easy to transport and store, and yet the support arms extend up to 80 inches to accommodate those longer work pieces. For someone with a massive, heavy, large, good quality miter saw, this would be undersized. One of the welds on one of the extension bars was also missed and has a small tack weld holding it together. This came bundled with a miter saw, so the roller ends seem a bit strange, but I bet this could be used with other tools where that would be a valuable feature. I bolted a plywood plate to the tool frame rather than bolt the frame to my miter saw so I can put a variety of tools on the stand. Unfortunately could not find a more durable replacement, so had to replace the broken clamping bracket with the another flimsy one so that I could continue to use the stand.
The plastic handles on the front that cam down to hold the mount and tool in place are extremely week, even when adjusted to be just snug they break. I wish I would have got the gravity lift miter stand so I don’t have to keep taking off my miter when the job is done. On the negative side, the universal mount did not work with my miter saw, so I ended up having to drill holes to make it work.
So it worked out but am not sure how strong the screws are long term after use and subjecting to vibrations. I bought it for my summer project of building a deck and the rollers will come in handy for cutting the plank boards. My only gripe is that one of the screw stripped itself of all its threads and it was a PITA to undo it to remove the saw from the clamp.

I use my miter stand with wheels for my craftman miter saw and my miter stand with no wheels , I rigged it so that I mounted my craftman wheel grinder works well.
Its just the right height for me and is sturdy No more kneeling on the ground when I don’t have a table or bench to put it on.
While the carriage bolts for mounting the saw are long enough, they interfere with adjusting the miter angle. This Universal Miter Saw Stand lets you use your miter saw and other bench top tools just about anywhere.
The rollers can be mounted 90degrees from pictured so you can use the stand for running long pieces through a table saw for example. Craftsman needs to get rid of the cheap plastic and strengthen the clamping lever with a metal lever. Also it is light, easy to carry and I like the way it folds up to be able to hang it on the wall out of the way. Flipping the bolts to go in the other direction was also not possible because the square at the top of the bolt is slightly larger than the mounting holes of the miter saw.
The only drawback I found was the wheels should have a pre-drilled slot for the attaching screws, instead of a sandwich style clamp.A If you only buy this for the convenience of not kneeling down for every cut, you will be happy.
Break free from the chains of your workshop or garage, and bring your miter saw and other tools from job to job.
These should be made from glass reinforced plastic or aluminum not the super cheap plastic the are made from. I fear the saw will fall over due to undersized miter stand when sliding miter saw goes back and forth. I am thinking about buying a second stand so when I am not using my saw I can use them as a sawhorses.
You can leave the handles attached to the saw and then fold the stand to put away when not needed. I had some washers that were the right size and gave a workaround to the problem. The other issue is the clamps themselves. This compact, portable stand weighs less than 25 pounds, so transporting it is never a hassle. My 10 inch Ryobi miter saw mated to the quick release rail clamps with ease and the whole thing was setup and in use very fast. The stand was very sturdy after assembly and I loved the spring loaded leg locks and all I had to do was pop them in place. Plus, it offers spring-loaded support legs that fold up for easy storage, taking you from workshop to truck to construction site and back again. The entire lever mechanism is injection molded plastic sandwiched by thin metal and will not hold up after several uses or a good bump.
Perhaps they could have put the spot where they the two side of the tracks are joined at different spots on the 2 tracks, and then pick which one to use in the front or back for a better fit. This Craftsman Universal Miter Saw Stand from Sears is a must-have for easy mounting of your miter saws and more. All of the mounting bolts were supplied and once I got the mounting rails attatched to my saw, all I had to do was set the saw on top of the miter stand and lock the handles down and my miter saw was solidly attatched to my new stand. Universal design means brackets fit most 10- and 12-inch miter saws and other bench top tools. All that was left was to add the support rollers and I was done with the whole process in about 20 mins. The roller supports can be used to hold the wood you are cutting or they can be used as stops to make repeated cuts of the same length.
The miter saw easily slides along the mounting rails on top of the stand in both directiions and gives you numerous cutting ranges to place your saw on for various needs.
The miter stand can hold up to 330 pounds and weighs about 25 pounds without the miter saw and can be easilyfolded up and quickly stored when not needed.
The rollers can be extended as I said, but they also can be raised or lowered to your preferences.
All that I did was used my 6 ft level and raised both rollers to sit even with my miter saw table top.The legs and frame are solidly built and they hold the miter saw very solidly even while cutting. I forgot what size, but there is a standard size bolt that is close enough to the metric size to fit in the track. I already talked with a couple of my buddies that own this stand as well and they really like it as much as I like my new miter stand. I would definantly recommend this stand to anyone with a miter saw, that might be considering using a miter stand for their miter saws. I might try to build a mount for the drill press, since it is hassle taking the miter saw off of the mount and putting the drill press on it.
