A good, older Dewalt or (solid cast iron arm is the key) or Delta turret arm properly setup will match or exceed the accuracy of any miter saw or (SCMS) on 90A° and 45A°, In between those settings it would need to be set with an adjustable triangle or something.
Other than that…yeah, thats why I am keeping mine and looking for a real old Delta Rockwell or Dewalt RAS.
It's also much more versatile: the dado capabilty and the longer cross cut have already been mentioned. I dont do a lot of miters but keep a mitersaw under the radial saw for when i have a few to do.

Do I want to keep both saws set up in the shop or… do I want to make the switch to a new sliding miter saw.
