If you’re already on the GreenWorks 40V platform, adding this tool to your garage or shed is going to be an easy decision.
Control and balance of the tool are excellent, and it was easy to direct ground material where I wanted it.
As a vacuum, the GreenWorks Blower can demonstrate some suction, but this is definitely not its strong suit.

Milwaukee Tool demonstrated something really cool at their 2013 Press Event (which they call their tool symposium). When the Milwaukee InkZall markers debuted back in 2013, they were only available in fine point and stylus packs—and all in black. The ink in these InkZall markers is a proprietary design that allows for faster drying times to reduce smearing. Taking the marker to a much more difficult application—concrete—let us really give it a nice workout.
The Milwaukee InkZall markers are a noted improvement on traditional permanent markers with one exception. GuestBrian10 months 9 days agoI’m a masonry contractor and I recently started using these instead of pencils, and I gotta say they seem to work well. You can tell the potential power of a cordless blower by the chutzpah of the output diameter of the tool.
It’s a great tool for blowing leaves or grass, cleaning up a job site, or just about anything else you can imagine. After that, a thumb dial can vary the power of the blower from 1 (low power) through 5 (full power).
To do this, you place the leaf bag attachment to the front of the blower, replacing the output tube.
The blower is extremely powerful as well, pushing even wet grass clumps and piles of soggy debris off a driveway so I could let it dry out and get clean.

I attempted several uses with the vacuum mode and finally decided that, while that feature was supported, it was only truly effective on very small, very light—and very dry—material.
There are stronger blowers on the market (both gas-powered and cordless) but I doubt you'll find any with a street price this low.
The requirements to use Lithium-ion batteries the way that we do now requires electronic communication. It is obvious to this woodworker how this class of saws is the go-to tool for framing carpenters and perhaps even has trim applications. He was a founding member, Secretary (2004), and webmaster for the Northeast Ohio Chapter of the UPA.
Milwaukee has a great set of products with the InkZall markers, and they work well on even the harshest environments and surfaces.
These markers seemed to excel at the basics, and the availability of both fine and medium tip, as well as chisel tip, meant that we had a lot of options to choose from depending upon the level of accuracy and precision we needed. We also didn’t wait for the concrete to dry completely before using an InkZall chisel marker. If you see a narrow, squished tube, for example, the likelihood is that the manufacturer has an underpowered motor and is gunning for run-time. GreenWorks sells the Blower as a tool-only option or as part of a kit with a 4.0 Ah battery and charger (it can be found with a 2Ah battery as well). I like that there’s no trigger to squeeze, nor is it ergonomically uncomfortable or difficult to use the blower for extended periods of time. Next, you attach the pickup or intake tube to the bottom of the unit by unclipping the gray plastic latch and opening up the intake fan guard. The blower cuts a nice swath of material out about 2 feet in front of the blower tube opening. Even though I had to get right up on some truly stubborn spots, I still was pleased with this amount of power in a cordless blower. That makes this blower a particularly great bargain for getting into the cordless OPE market. Even if we could rig the battery to fit, the communication wouldn’t be there for it to deliver any power.

The saw’s thoughtful design makes it an easy choice for anyone looking for a long-term space-saving solution that may not need the portability of a lighter-weight saw. When he's not applying user-centered methods to a wide variety of products, you can find him tinkering in his shop. While we took a look at them shortly after the event, we decided to revisit the markers and see how they are holding up today.
As it turns out, the ink is the secret as well as how the tip is made—specifically in its ability to retain its usefulness over rough surfaces that would tear a tradition felt tip to shreds. The InkZall markers are also available as single markers, 2- and 4-packs, or even 36-packs for those who want to stock up.

One feature we really liked was the built-in hard hat clip which makes for easy storage and access on the job site. On wet concrete, the marks were easily discernible, though not as nearly sharp and clean as with dry concrete. This may be a factor of ow they are designed to hold the special formulate ink, or how they do a better job of not drying out even when the lid is left off for an extended period of time. The tips do wear down rather fast when pressing down on a rough surface, but take some pressure off and they’ll last for quite s while. The impeller is made of nylon, so it should be durable, but overall this tool is primarily made for air to pass through that area of the tool, not debris.
That meant that I was able to fairly efficiently “steer” the ground material into a pile without feeling like I was painting a large wall with a pencil brush. That may be a boon for homeowners—especially pros who want some convenience at home when it comes to getting their own yard work completed.
He hopes his efforts at PTR will provide builders and contractors with reliable and engaging tool reviews to help them make better tool purchasing decisions. Fine tip may be a problem on rough sheet goods, but it worked well on 2x lumber due to the smoother surface. This is a great new marker for those looking to spend less time marking and remarking areas where the first try should be good enough. In any case, the pricing of these markers is such that having more on-hand outweighs the potential issue of premature tip failure. The GreenWorks Blower in their 40V G-Max line falls squarely in the middle of the category. At a price of around $125 for a full kit, this is as close to a no-brainer as you’re likely to come.
Our goal is to provide readers with honest, objective information based on our own experiences. I can highly recommend these markers for any tradesmen who has experienced the downsides of traditional pens and marking instruments on more difficult materials. Many of the products that we review are provided to us for free by a manufacturer or retailer. The name Inkzall is in keeping with their uncanny ability to write through dusty, wet or oily surfaces.
You could, technically, remove the concentrator tip that protrudes from the end of the blower, but it’s more or less designed for that to stay in place. In some cases, we also have advertising or affiliate relationships with manufacturers and retailers of products and services we review.
