This drill develops the fundamental coordination for using the agility ladder and executing stepping patterns. Start by facing to the side at one end of the ladder with one foot in a square and one foot outside. This drill improves full-body rotations and balance to prevent falls and sprained ankles and knees.


To do the side hops, stand with your right shoulder facing the ladder, and hop into the square to your right as quickly as you can, with feet slightly apart.
