When Bosch released their Bosch 4000-09 Worksite Table Saw the Gravity-Rise™ stand that they put that saw on drew as much print and email chatter as the saw itself.
The Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand is a patented design that makes lifting and lowering relatively heavy miter saws remarkably easy.
The Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand comes in a surprisingly large box that has a shipping weight of 78-lbs. While the Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand is obviously designed to carry the saw with it, you will still have to take it off occasionally or want to move it to one side or the other on the main rail to accommodate some cuts. The work supports on either side (left) are mounted on tough steel bars and have adjustable height contact surfaces. The Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand has pullout work support arms to the left and right of the saw.
The large tires along with how the saw is mounted make moving the Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand with the saw in place very easy even when the terrain is lumpy. Even with the extension arms fully extended and a long board laying across them the Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand is very stable.

The Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise Wheeled Miter Saw Stand is a universal miter saw stand that uses the power of physics to make an effortless transition between storage and use. The Bosch T4B is shipped or purchased in a large box that is about 4 x 2 x 1’ and weighs in at a stout 90 lbs.
Overall this is the best miter saw stand that I have ever used, it is rock solid and extremely portable. I am sure it will work with more saws so don’t be discouraged if yours is not on this list.
Thanks for writing this Jason, I’ve always been torn between fold up and gravity rise. I would eventually like to get an aftermarket fence for this setup for for now I am so pleased with being able to saw standing up and have my material supported that I am on cloud 9! That ischia I get mine in the truck, it’s actually easier then carrying the saw by itself and putting it into the truck.
Great review, Jason…if I needed to be more mobile I would give this stand a very hard look.

I would agree Brad, for a guy that doesn’t have the luxury of having a dedicated miter table this is the next best thing.
I was going to say it looks like it will fit nicely next to your other saw stand in the background of your first picture and then the subsequent pictures show just that.
One tip I have for those of you using the gravity rise stand is to make sure you retract the outriggers before you collapse the stand or you risk damaging them. While lots of companies offer fold-up saw stands, none have the Gravity-Rise™ stand capabilities.
We could probably spend a bunch of time talking about pivot points and leverage but that is very boring but using the Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand is not. The adjustable front pads (right) let you stabilize this stand when the ground below it is not perfect. Despite the size of the box, you have to assemble much of the Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand. Bosch gave the Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand saw mounts just like those on their GTA3800 Miter Saw Stand.
Each side also has this tool-free repetitive cut stop (right) that brings even more accuracy to the stand.
This will come in very handy as cutting several pieces the same length is a common job in any workplace situation. I have used several other miter saw stands and none really compare with the Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand. Part of that is certainly due to the wide stance of the wheels and supporting pads but we cannot minimize the tough steel tubing framework that supports everything. Unloading the box you will find several plastic bags that have all of the hardware you will need to assemble the stand and a user manual.
You’re really getting your shop in shape with two GR stands now, I think those are the greatest for space savings like I need. The Bosch Gravity-Rise™ stand represent real breakthrough thinking and Bosch decided to apply that technology to a new miter saw stand.
The good news is that this is a Bosch machine and they do a very good job of guiding your through the assembly.
These mounts are designed to accept all Bosch miter saws as well as similar machines from their competitors as well. Slip the mounts over the main rail and flip the locks closed and the saw is locked in place.

Here also, the repetitive stops are tool free and can be extended or retracted into the stowed configuration quickly and without tools.
When it comes to setting up or tearing down the Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand is head and shoulders above the crowd. Then when you set it up on that uneven surface the adjustable front feet let you stabilize the Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand and saw quickly. The Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand is made to be used for a very long time whether you are in the shop or on a job site. Raising and lowering the Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand with a miter saw on it is surprisingly easy because they got all of the pivot points along with the length of the moving parts just right.
With a street price of $299.99 (4-18-2011) you can add this kind of mobility to your miter saw cheaper than I would have guessed.
The result is the same kind of ease of use, stability when opened and space-saving footprint in the stowed configuration. Putting my Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand together, including installing my Bosch 4410L Bosch SCMS on the mounts took about 20-minutes. The lack of physical effort required to collapse, move and then set the Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand up for work again is remarkable but there is more.
Frankly, it is worth more than that to me to avoid tweaking my back again or just straining to carry the miter saw to where I need it.
When folded up, the Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand saves a bunch of precious shop space with a much smaller footprint than is possible with many stands. Bosch even includes good quality fasteners to secure your saw to the Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand. The work supporting fixtures on either side each have an adjustable contact bar that can be set anywhere within a 2” vertical range so that you can make them perfectly level with the table on your saw. Whether I am working in the shop, on the driveway or in the yard, the Bosch T4B Gravity-Rise™ Miter Saw Stand makes getting the saw where I need it very easy.
The only tricky portion of assembly came when I was attaching the main support rail to the leg system.
