Angle grinders are versatile tools that can grind metal and cut tile, stucco and pavers, rout out mortar, plus they can sand, polish and sharpen.
Angle grinders use a wide variety of cutting and grinding wheels, like the diamond wheel shown here. The ability to handle different wheels and accessories is what makes angle grinders so versatile. A dull blade on the lawn mower is just as good as hitting rocks and branches with a stick, it is no good to your lawn.
The blade can be sharpened by clamping it done with a vise and applying a metal file to the cutting edge.

Start by wedging a piece of wood between the mower deck and blade to prevent it from spinning. Head out to the nearest hardware store or repair center and ask for an exact match to the blades you got on your mower.
Cleaning and changing the mower blade requires it to be turned up on its side which might cause accidental fuel spillage.
However, if you have a lot of larger nicks, a crack, or a bent blade you definitely need a new blade. A cracked or bent blade can break during use and causes severe damage to the mower and possibly injure the operator.
You can buy very inexpensive angle grinders, but for frequent use or for demanding jobs like cutting stucco or cement, I’d recommend spending a little more for a grinder with a more powerful motor (look for a motor that draws 5 to 9 amps). Place the blade on it and if any side dips then grind off a little steel from that end avoiding the cutting edge.
