Il più grande, Tony, è un fanatico dei film sulla mala americana e sogna di diventare un giocatore di poker professionista, l'altro, Filo, è un genio introverso e scontroso, la sua sindrome semi-autistica lo porta ad analizzare l'ambiente che lo circonda in modo ossessivo e meccanico. I due ragazzi si ritroveranno uniti nella missione di trovare i soldi necessari per pagare le cure della sorellina Maria. Portando alla mente l'incontro con il professionista di poker Joyce decidono di andare a Milano per cercarlo con la speranza di essere in seguito introdotti nel "giro" che porterebbe a loro i soldi necessari per curare la sorella. Col tempo gli ingenti guadagni e le gelosie contribuiranno a spezzare l'equilibrio tra i due fratelli che litigheranno e si separeranno. Le loro strade si incroeranno nuovamente al Malta Poker Dream.
