Kabul city and its surrounding region are suffering from harsh shortage of water at this time let alone when the population increases and expected temperature rises.
Thousands of wells already have been sunk in Kabul city while the number of population are increasing due to unemployment, security issues and forced systematic migration because of insecurity. In addition, most of the shared water points and wells are contaminated, leading to illness. The underground water supplies in most large cities are under serious threat because of the lack of a canalization system, proper waste management and the random disposal of waste material. To fight the crisis, the government needs to invest in water infrastructure throughout the country, and devise an efficient plan which should also include the control of medical waste and polluted water in urban areas that is contaminating water supplies. To prevent the misuse of water, the government should step up efforts to promote public awareness through a lasting national campaign and taking necessary actions both in the rural and urban areas of the country including Kabul. They called themselves the Company of Jesus, and also Amigos En El Senor or "Friends in the Lord," because they felt "they were placed together by Christ." The name had echoes of the military (as in an infantry "company"), as well as of discipleship (the "companions" of Jesus).
Jennette McCurdy opens up about her new relationship with NBA star Andre Drummond in a thoughtful, candid op-ed for the Wall Street Journal’s Speakeasy blog. She continues, “What if the person I had built up in my head was different than the person I’d soon be sitting across from?
On his visit to the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in North Dakota today, President Obama is using his first stop at a Native American reservation while in office to highlight the challenges Native Americans face. The poverty rate at Standing Rock Reservation is 43.2%, nearly triple the national average, according to Census Bureau data. Native Americans have a higher poverty and unemployment rate when compared with the national average, but the rates are comparable to those of blacks and Hispanics.

Op-ed: He was the outstanding leader of his generation, and Israel has never recovered from his loss.

Bill Clinton, both in a 2013 interview aired by Israel’s Channel 2 for the first time last week, and in his address to the Saturday night rally marking the 20th anniversary of the assassination, expressed presidential certainty that Rabin would have concluded a permanent accord with the Palestinians. Eitan Haber, surrounded by reporters outside Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, announces the death of prime minister Yitzhak Rabin. He was bolstering Israel’s international legitimacy, opening doors everywhere from faraway China to neighboring Jordan.
But the terrorism that had accompanied the efforts at peacemaking had eaten away at his popularity, and he was up against a potent political rival in Benjamin Netanyahu — so potent that mere months after the assassination, even as Israel reeled in horror at itself for the killing, the Likud leader was able to defeat Peres, the interim prime minister and natural heir. Bill Clinton looks on as Yitzhak Rabin and Yasser Arafat shake hands at the signing of the Oslo Accords, September 13, 1993. There’d have been a far better relationship between Israel and its vital American ally. There’d have been no room for ambiguity when it came to maintaining the ultra-sensitive status quo at the Temple Mount, no ridiculous talk of Palestinian muftis inspiring the Holocaust, no demagoguery about Israeli Arabs streaming to the polls.
Cursed by the assassination of Yitzhak Rabin, modern Israel has also been cursed by bad timing when it comes to political leadership and possibility. Finally, if Yitzhak Rabin had lived, if Yigal Amir had been thwarted on or before November 4, 1995, we cannot afford to assume, in our wild, feverish Israel, that no other extremist would have emerged to assassinate him.
Twenty years after that terrible night in the square, that is one of the darkest shadows that still hovers over us. Israelis on October 30, 2015, pay their respects at the Tel Aviv memorial site where Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin was assassinated in 1995. Rapid population growth and predictable temperature raise due to climate change mean the area a€“ which just manages to support 4.5 million people today a€“ will need six times more water by 2050, according to a Geological Survey. The water table has dropped unprecedentedly, and thousands of settlements face sever water crisis. The capital, with estimated population of 4.5 million people, 80% of them lack access to safe drinking water, and 95% lack access to improved sanitation facilities. According to some reports, the medical and solid wastes are mixed together and then buried in the capital. But poor government policy has severely hampered the use of the country’s river supplies. Water sources should be distributed through pipelines and needs clusters of water tanks should be constructed in different areas to provide drinking water. In his high moral qualities, his spiritual power, his high resolve, the excellence and perfection of his teaching, his perfect example and the acceptance of his prayers, in short, in every aspect of his life, he exhibited such bright signs that even a person of low intelligence, provided he is not inspired by unreasonable rancour and enmity, is forced to confess that he was a perfect example of the manifestation of Divine qualities and was a perfect man.
It comprises a complete code of moral and social conduct for humans of every creed, color and religion. There is no place in Islam for vicious and blasphemous discourse, which is not only counterproductive but harmful to a peaceful society. Ignatius of Loyola, who after being wounded in a battle, experienced a religious conversion and composed the Spiritual Exercises to closely follow Christ. The fresco was created by Johann Christoph Handke in the Church of Our Lady Of the Snow in Olomouc after 1743. What if technology aided and enhanced our conversations to the point where we felt crippled without it? The reservation, which straddles North Dakota and South Dakota, has a population of 8,956, according to the Bureau of Indian Affairs.

He was reordering national priorities, boosting funding for education, reallocating resources to help draw Israel’s Arab populace closer to equality with the Jews. In the immediate aftermath of the assassination, Netanyahu was politically toxic, the leader of the camp from whose most radical fringe an assassin had sprung.
Just maybe, a trio of Clinton, Rabin and Mahmoud Abbas could have succeeded where Clinton, Rabin and Arafat did not. This is a wonderful country full of motivated, innovative, hard-working people, insistently thriving against lousy odds in a spectacularly dangerous part of the world, with radically inadequate support from a hypocritical international community. Thus, other cities still do not have access to clean drinking water despite billions of dollars invested by the international community to supply the nation with a steady supply. It’s like when you get a piece of good news and just have to pick up the phone and call a friend. Among those who identify as American Indian or Alaska Native as their only race, the poverty rate was 29.1% in 2012. And census officials have said that the number of people who self-identify as such has been growing, for reasons they don’t fully understand.
Of those who identify as Native American or Alaska Native as their only race, one-in-three (33%) live on reservations or tribal lands.
But Netanyahu was carried to victory, by a nailbiting 29,457 votes, by those very same waves of terrorism — specifically four suicide bombings in February and March 1996 that persuaded a narrow majority of Israelis, however much they mourned for Rabin and for a country that could produce his killer, that the Oslo path, the Arafat path, was a bloody disaster. The experts warn that over time the waste will seep into the underground water table poisoning the water. Among all American Indians and Alaska Natives, about one-in-five (22%) live on reservations or tribal lands. The levels of diarrhea and dysentery, especially among children, are at epidemic proportions.
The medical waste also contains infectious viruses and is putting the entire population at risk.
Experts blame the problem on the lack of a proper waste management system in most of the country’s hospitals. The lack of clean drinking water is one of major factors to highest death rate of children in Afghanistan.
They also point out many industries’ lack of corporate ethics for their unwillingness to protect the environment from the increase in industrial waste. According to a survey conducted by the United Nations Children’s Fund, which found that 102 of every 1,000 children born in Afghanistan will die before reaching the age of five.
