Dark Pretty Cure (????????, Daku Purikyua?) appears in Hanasaki Tsubomi, Kurumi Erika and Myoudouin Itsuki's dreams, where she fights against Cure Moonlight before the Great Tree of Hearts. She has an antagonistic rivalry with Cure Moonlight and has a deep conscious of defeating her competition and wants to eliminate Cure Moonlight once and for all and is very desperate. Dark Pretty Cure is first seen fighting against Cure Moonlight before the Tree of Hearts, telling her that she will die with the Tree of Hearts. Throughout the rest of the time afterward, Dark Pretty Cure is seen beside Sabaku in the base of the Desert Apostles, always observing whenever someone comes to for an audience. Wanting nothing more than to destroy Cure Moonlight, Dark Pretty Cure attacks the train station where Yuri's mother works, attempting to draw Yuri onto the battlefield.
With Dark Pretty Cure in possession of three quarters of Yuri's Heart Seed, Dark Pretty Cure started to become obsessed with seeing Yuri destroyed.
Sabaku had Dark Pretty Cure in a massive orb to help her recover from her loss against Cure Moonlight. During the rescue of Kaoruko, Cure Blossom and Cure Moonlight come across Dark Pretty Cure. Dark Cure Defeated After Cure Moonlight recovers from shock, she defeats Dark Pretty Cure with the Floral Power Fortissimo. Tsukikage Yuri: Dark Pretty Cure's relationship with Yuri seems to be the antagonistic sort. Sabaku: Sabaku seems to trust Dark Pretty Cure whenever he wants to get something done thoroughly. Desert Apostles: Dark Pretty Cure sees the three as her subordinates, something that annoys Sasorina especially. Considering her apparent age, the fact her Dark Forte Wave still resembles a flower and relationship to Tsukikage Yuri, a fan theory was said that Dark Cure might have been part of Cure Moonlight's generation and turned to dark side.
Dark Pretty Cure, before her rebirth, has two different colored eyes, which is known as heterochromia. Somewhere in the universe there exists a place called Märchenland, where characters from fairy tales mingled together. Although hurt, Dark Pretty Cure manages to get the upper hand in the battle, and succeeds  in defeating Cure MoonlightHPC01. She succeeds in her aim with Yuri, proving a match for the Snackeys even without the ability to transform into Cure Moonlight. She succeeds, only to discover a new fairy has been born and it uses its power to escape with the tree.HPC20 Knowing Pretty Cure would go to the tree to repair the barrier, she follows them there. When the Heart Seed begins to glow, Dark Pretty Cure suspects something is about to happen to Yuri and begins a search for her using the Heart Seed as a beacon drawing her closer to Yuri. He says that it will soon be time for her, a remark which causes her to give an evil grin.HPC41 When the Cures are ready to defeat Cobraja, Dark Pretty Cure appears, catching them off guard. She is able to generate red shields that are powerful enough to defend herself against Pink Forte Wave with ease. Both attacks seem to be stronger than the Pretty Cure's versions, making her nearly unbeatable.
It also seems like she has some kind of respect for her, as she accepts Yuri's unspoken request and leavesHPC10.
Because it is unknown if Dark Pretty Cure is a real Cure or not, it is not known if Sabaku is willing to sacrifice her in order to take control of the Tree of Hearts when the rest of Pretty Cure are defeated. However, it should be noted that Dark Pretty Cure's left eye is exactly the same as Cure Moonlight's.

She opens her eyes which are now both gold in color revealing she no longer has heterochromia. She hobbles over to the direction of Cure Moonlight, but Professor Sabaku catches her in his arms and tells her that she can rest now. However, Cure Moonlight is able to fight in par with her, and once she regains her Heart Flower, Cure Moonlight can even defeat her. Dark Pretty Cure compares their relationship to the dark side of the moon, that if Yuri is the moon then she is its shadowHPC34. Dark Pretty Cure does seem more important to him then the Desert Apostles as shown, when she was injured and unable to fight, Sabaku arrives and takes her away before Cure Moonlight can end their battle.

In the preview for the tenth episode, Hanasaki Tsubomi and Kurumi Erika claim that Dark Pretty Cure has lost her heartHPC09, though it is unknown if this will have a deeper meaning later on. Cure Moonlight explains that this is because it will never wilt as long as Pretty Cure exist. Tsubomi and Erika left with no choice, but with the help of the mysterious guy, the two girls rescue their fairy partners and fight Dark Pretty Cure. However, Cure Blossom, Marine and Sunshine manage to push her far enough away from the tree long enough for Cure Sunshine and Potpourri to repair the barrier. She quickly proves they are still not powerful enough to match her power and is ready to finish the fight when light from the Great Heart Tree makes the trees all around glow with light.
This unleashes a massive amount of power from her which easily throws Blossom and the others to the ground. As Cure Moonlight fires a beam at Dark Pretty Cure, Professor Sabaku jumps in front of her and the blow breaks his mask in half, revealing his true identity.
Dark Pretty Cure then fades away into light, but not before smiling and giving the other half of Cure Moonlight's Pretty Cure Seed back. Furthermore, her closed gold eye, once open, seems to have the ability to drastically strengthen her attacks, and can also create violent gusts of winds to throw back the opponent. In the finale, it is revealed that Dark Pretty Cure is Yuri's non-biological younger sister. Suddenly, Usagi finds herself with the ability to transform into the superhero known as Sailor Moon.

But a warrior who served Marie Ange, known as Cure Sword, fended the Jikochuu by herself before being sent the human world with her fairy partner to find the missing princess. She was happy to see her grandmother she loved and her old dog Mallow, but she then realizes that Arisu and Rikka aren't there because memories have been altered.
Even worse, the announcers Odoren and Utaen seem extremely suspicious, and the guardian dragon of Harmonia has started a rampage, angry at the chaos at the carnival. She has short dark green hair that kind of curls up a little, and has three red spike-like hair clips. When she hears this, Dark Pretty Cure prepares herself to use Dark Forte Wave to take Cure Moonlight down, but Cure Moonlight uses her Pretty Cure Seed to protect herself and the two fairies Chypre and Coffret, holding it back long enough for the fairies to escape with two Heart Perfumes. The pair are quickly beaten by Dark Pretty Cure, but as Dark Pretty Cure moves in to make the final move, Yuri appears behind them. Dark Pretty Cure is enraged by the fact that Cure Moonlight hurt him, so she goes in for a full-on attack. There they not only meet the evil Shadow but also their doppelgaengers who are to be their enemies.
In this cockaigne with rivers of juice and candy growing on trees, they feel very comfortable. The Cure Sword also brought with her three other fairies who are to find three chosen girls to be her allies. There, the Pretty Cures thought they would be surrounded by cute stuffed animals, but instead they find a mysterious man named Black Fang who is attacking the kingdom, and he captures Tsumugi.
One of the fairies, Charles, finds a girl named Mana Aida who is her school's student council president. She is desperate to destroy Cure Moonlight once and for all, and will not remain calm until she manages tp. During the battle, Cure Moonlight asks why is Dark Pretty Cure so obsessed with her to which Dark Pretty Cure replies that if Cure Moonlight is the light from the moon than she is the darkness. Whilst visiting the Clover Tower's observatory during her school's orientation day, Mana encounters a Jikochuu who attempts to manipulate her heart but being found by Charles as he gives her the power to become Cure Heart.
Using their Fortissimo attacks against each other they fight across the sky until Cure Moonlight manages to score a blow which causes Dark Pretty Cure to fall to the floor in pain and unable to move. Just before Cure Moonlight has a chance to end the battle, Sabaku appears and removes Dark Pretty Cure from the battlefield.
