An essential skill for teachers & childcare workers to learn and have when a situation occurs. Integrity First Aid Training will be running Public Courses in both Canberra & Sydney during August and September.
This course is specifically designed to provide knowledge and skills in the recognition and management of anaphylaxis, risk assessment, risk minimisation and Anaphylaxis First Aid procedures.
This course is for anyone that has a “Duty of Care” for a person at risk of anaphylaxis and meets the requirements of Ministerial Order 706 required by school staff. This is a nationally recognised training course and the qualifications are valid for 3 years. Practical demonstration of Anaphylaxis First Aid using available adrenalin auto-injector training devices.
This course is delivered via blended learning, which is a combination of in class and self-paced study. Applicants for a credit transfer must complete the student credit transfer application form, attach a copy of a verified Award or Statement of Attainment and submit the application to the Training Coordinator of the Asthma Foundation of Victoria (AVF). As a Registered Training Organisation providing competency based vocational training, the Asthma Foundation of Victoria provides students the opportunity to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL). Any student with a question or complaint may raise the matter with the Training Coordinator of the Asthma Foundation of Victoria (AFV) and attempt an informal resolution of the question or complaint. Saskatoon First Aid does not accept refunds or cancellations within 72 hours of the course. With the old Council Approval system removed, we now provide you with Ofqual Recognised Qualifications, that fully adhere to the recommendations set out in the EYFS for 6 & 12 hour courses.
This is the Full Paediatric First Aid Training Course that covers the Ofsted recommended syllabus (EYFS Practice Guidance). This course is often referred to as the more basic of the 2 recommended for Paediatric First Aid. This course will develop the skills and confidence you need to help manage a child or adult experiencing such a reaction. Upon successful completion, the attendee will receive a Statement of Attainment issued by The Asthma Foundation of Victoria (RTO Provider Number 4987). However it is recommended that participants have literacy and numeracy competencies equivalent to National Reporting System (NRS) Level 2. Course fee includes taxes, workplace approved certification fee’s and first aid and CPR manual. If you do not complete the course the first time you can re-take the course at no extra cost. It is designed for those working with Children on a day to day basis such as Nursery Staff & Registered Childminders. However it now matches the first 6 hours of the 12 hour course, meaning this can be used as 'recorded prior learning' should you wish to do the full course (within 6 weeks).
They are not certificated by an awarding body but the skills learned are taught by the same experienced trainers that train our other Paediatric courses above. Like our 2 hour courses above they are not certificated via our awarding body but the skills learned are taught by the same experienced trainers as our other Paediatric courses. Certain self-limiting illnesses or minor injuries may not require further medical care past the first aid intervention.


The Course enables the student to have an in-depth understanding of a wide range of possible scenarios for Children. These are designed mainly for new or conscientious parents that want to know what to do in an emergency. These are designed as a refresher for Childminders who have a current 12 hour certificate but wish to refresh their knowledge prior to the 3 year point. This child care course is very similar in course content to that of standard first aid courses. Candidates have the option of paying by credit card, debit card or PayPal through our secure registration system.
It generally consists of a series of simple and in some cases, potentially life-saving techniques that an individual can be trained to perform with minimal equipment. It covers CPR, Recovery Position, Major Bleeds and Burns as well as providing an awareness of Croup, Asthma, Anaphylaxis, Meningitis & Sickle Cell Anaemia. Designed more for the Au Pair or Nanny this course is very popular with conscientious parents. A 20 question paper the 1st day, a 30 question paper the 2nd day and 5 practical assessments need to be completed to gain this certification. These courses are a great introduction into paediatric first aid and are our first courses to be offered in your own home.
