Medicare Secondary Payer: Request for employer size

To comply with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' (CMS) Medicare Secondary Payer requirements, we are requesting employer size information from your customers. A letter will be mailed to all group customers with 2-99 employees within the next few days.

CMS requires this information for Medicare Secondary Payers (MSP) reporting purposes. It’s important for your customers to supply this information by April 30, 2010, to avoid any problems involving their employees’ claims regarding Medicare primacy.

At the end of the letter, your customers will find an explanation of how to send the information to AmeriHealth. We’ve made it simple by setting up an automated response telephone number. Your customers should keep their letters handy so that they’ll have the information they need to complete this process.
