Caerphilly County’s Citizens Advice Bureau has been praised in an independent report by auditors.
The audit, by national Citizens Advice, rates the quality of advice of the bureau as ‘very good’. The Caerphilly bureau has been rated in the top 25% of all Citizens Advice Bureaux in England and Wales.
Simon Ellington, director of Caerphilly County CAB, said: “This is a real vote of confidence in the bureau and I’m delighted with the result. Each Citizens Advice Bureau has to undergo a rigorous audit every three years to ensure it can remain a member of the national Citizens Advice association and that it can retain its Legal Services Commission ‘Quality Mark’.

The CAB is staffed by over 2600 volunteers who are trained to deal with a wide range of different issues. One of the challenges of being a consumer in New Zealand is that you mostly have to enforce your own rights, even when the other party is clearly in the wrong. The CAB helps by talking to you about your problem and then providing information and options for what you can do to resolve your problem. As you become more and more aware of how you are feeling, you will become more aware of your words and thoughts.
