Hey guys, my name is Tim Sabat and I'm one of the developers for Infinity Box. We're a small software development company based out of Tampa and while there's only six of us, we're engaged in a number of projects. We write about web development issues at Particletree.com. We used to publish a monthly PDF magazine called Treehouse for web entrepreneurs, programmers and designers. And today, I'm here to show off an online service we've developed called Wufoo. Now, what is Wufoo? Specifically, Wufoo is an online html form builder. More meaningfully, we strive to be the easiest way to collect information over the Internet. We help our friends create their own contact forms, design their own online surveys, send out custom invitations, power event registrations and collect online payments. We're kind of like a web based version of Microsoft Access or Infopath, but a lot more delightful. Basically, we try to avoid creating software that reminds our users of a cubicle. Now, if you've ever had to create a simple database application like an online survey or a contact form you probably know that it's no picnic. Very quickly, this is all the steps required to build a form that collects information on a web site. On the left are the steps you have to take if you're doing it from scratch and on the right is what you have to do if you hire someone else to create it for you. Building a simple database driven application is a tedious, time consuming process that usually costs a lot of money and a lot of time. Our users are anyone that wants to avoid this process. Wufoo is for the secretaries that want to avoid the IT department. And for the IT departments that want to avoid the secretaries. We currently have over 85,000 users from all over the world creating forms with Wufoo. You can create forms in over 30 languages. We process about 400,000 entries and serve over 9 million pageviews every month. Our users come from a variety of industries, markets and verticals. They include developers, designers, non-profits, teachers, students, researchers, real estate agents, marketing agencies, healthcare professionals, banks, and small and medium businesses. We also have a number of enterprise level customers and teams using Wufoo. This is a just a few of our more [well known clients]: they include Microsoft, Sony, Discovery Channel...and actually, we have two of our developers today running a training session for the marketing department over at Walt Disney World Resorts here in Orlando. Using Wufoo, our users are getting the information they need to get things done. And what makes all of this possible is the compelling experience we provide through our innovative form building interface, which I'd like to demo for you now. -- DEMO Alright, so this is our home page at wufoo.com. It's pretty easy to find your way in, just look for the dinosaur and off you go. This is Wufoo's Form Manager. It shows you a general overview of what forms you've created, some basic form metrics, and all the options you have to access and change their properties. We're going to be making some edits to an invitation form for a party we want to throw after the conference. This is Wufoo's form builder. It is divided into two sections. On the right is a live form preview and on the left is a tabbed control panel that let's you see what fields you can use to help collect data through your form. To add a field just click on the button. As you can see, the fields are drag and drop enabled which makes editing and reordering them quick and painless. We're just going to verify if our attendees are actually coming or not=== and remove an option from the list of choices==. We'll also add some validation to make sure our users fill this data out. There's also a lot Wufoo does to help you out once the data has been submitted to our servers. We're going to have Wufoo email a copy of the entry to our user's inbox and instead of redirecting to a url, we'll provide a custom confirmation message. To verify these changes, we'll go back to the Form Manager, look at the form and submit a sample entry. As you can see, Wufoo automatically created all the validation scripts and error messages into the form. And so once we fulfill all the requirements, our data goes through and shows us the custom message we specified earlier. --- Now, if we had more time, I'd show you how you can also use our equally innovative Theme Designer to style the form to match the look and feel of your web site's colors and brand. You can also use code snippets that we provide to integrate the forms right into your web site or blog posts. And for those of you that don't like to create things from scratch, you can visit the Wufoo Form Gallery where we've created over 80 templates and themes to jump start your experience. Now, at its core, Wufoo is a database application. So we also provide the tools you need to help you visualize and understand your data after you've collected it using our powerful data browsing tools. You can export your information to excel and even filter and graph your results with equally customizable reports. That pretty much concludes my introduction to Wufoo. We've designed Wufoo to be one of the friendliest applications you'll ever experience and we hope you visit us at wufoo.com and sign up for a free account. Again, my name is Tim Sabat and thank you for your time.
