When most of us think of a urine test we think of illegal or performance enhancing drug tests.
But urine that is dark brown or syrup color, urine that is reddish without any change in diet, or urine that is orange, green or urine that foams and or fizzes could be signs of an underlying condition. In fact having protein in the urine could be an early sign of kidney disease or damage, especially in people who suffer from diabetes.

Having leukocites, blood or nitrates in the urine can be the result of an infection and other changes in urine can be caused by medications, liver or bile problems and the list goes on.
But food related changes should pass with in day or two, foul smelling urine that doesn’t improve could indicate infection especially if urinary frequency and or burning are present.
