Handlung
Vordergründig ein Film über die bloße Hektik, die hässliche Ökonomie des Filmemachens, ein Deutscher Tag als Pendant zu Truffauts Amerikanischer Nacht. Gleichzeitig ist es ein melancholischer Abgesang auf den deutschen Film der späten 60er und 70er Jahre, auf den sich Schlingensief immer berufen hat. Ein Abschied von gestern.
In einer Reihe von Anspielungen, Spitzen und Zitaten ist der Film auch ein Rückblick auf die deutsche Filmgeschichte als solche, der Schlingensief den zeitweiligen Anschein verpasst, dass sie keine Zukunft haben werde.
