With so many books being made into movies, it was bound to happen: books made into TV shows. With smash hits like The Vampire Diaries, The Secret Circle and Gossip Girl, it’s not that far fetched to see our favorite YA books being transformed for the masses.
A few other books are in production to become TV shows – like The 100 and Flowers in the Attic (Lifetime movie, not surprised at all), so all hope is not lost. Why It Can Make Good TV: The Naturals has a natural (pun intended) bent toward mystery and solving puzzles. Why It Can Make Good TV: There is a definite hole in teen TV shows for science fiction fans.
Why It Can Make Good TV: A crime family that can curse and kill people with one touch of their hands.

As Page to Premiere reported in May, the pilots for Delirium and The Selection were both canned by Fox and the CW (respectively).

I see this TV show moving past just Katsa and Bitterblue but to the residents affected by King Leck. Plus, with the main leads being strong young women, I think girls would be more drawn to watching this vs Star Trek or other shows watched mainly by guys. The widespread love of The Sopranos shows our love of gritty, in-depth looks into criminal minds and our secret rooting for them to become good (or at least better).
Other interests include Downton Abbey, heat lightning storms, Harry Potter land and (begrudingly) one orange tabby. People who point at their wrist asking for the time… I know where my watch is pal, where the hell is yours? People who are willing to get off their a** to search the entire room for the TV remote because they refuse to walk to the TV and change the channel manually. When people say while watching a film, “did ya see that?” No Loser, I paid $12 to come to the cinema and stare at the damn floor! When you are waiting for the bus and someone asks “Has the bus come yet?” If the bus came, would I be standing here??? Since the incredibly popular animation, Charlie and Lola have found a new and younger fanbase - and these books cater brilliantly for this new market.
She has always been interested in the many aspects of childhood, from gazing into toy shop windows to watching American children's shows from the 1960s.
It was only when she came to write and illustrate the book Clarice Bean, That's Me that she decided to devote her time to writing and illustrating books for children, which combines her fascination for childhood and her talent for designing and creating. In addition, she is a Grammy Award-winning audiobook narrator and an accomplished public speaker, regularly addressing arts and literary conferences, schools, universities and other groups about the value of, and synergy between, the arts and literacy. She is a longtime member of Ensemble Studio Theatre and was a faculty member at their Institute for several years. She has served on the theater panel for the New York State Council on the Arts, as a National Ambassador for The Broadway League’s “Kids’ Night on Broadway”, and as a trustee for the Morriss Center School in Bridgehampton, NY, and the Center for Therapeutic Riding of the East End (CTREE).

We love rooting for the bad guy these days, so the conflicted nature of Cassel and his jacked family is ideal.
She has had a variety of jobs from waitressing to designing exotic, elegant lampshades and working as an artist's assistant to Damien Hirst. After attending two Art Schools, where Lauren admits that she did not learn much, she travelled for six months, still unsure about which career to embark upon. Lauren gets her inspiration from other people's conversations or from seeing something funny happen.
In 1991, she co-founded the Bay Street Theatre in Sag Harbor, New York with her husband, Stephen Hamilton and producer Sybil Christopher. There would be no lack of new situations Cassel could get thrown into (especially when he’s supposedly working with the FBI). Emma served as Bay Street’s Co-Artistic Director and Director of Education and Programming for Young Audiences for 17 years. Utterly Me, Clarice Bean, Lauren's first fiction title, was a runaway success all over the world followed by Clarice Bean Spells Trouble and Clarice Bean, Don't Look Now. A retrospective of Lauren's work is now a major new exhibition at the Manchester Art gallery.
Lauren loves designing and making things and finds it exciting to see her drawings turned into objects.
Other favourite things include the cinema, TV matinees, small Italian cars, handbags, cardigans, traveling and being picked up from the airport.
