The Survival Games Map by Team Vareide was one of the most popular Minecraft maps ever made, its competitive nature pushed rival players to the limit to search for resources, craft and build weapons and battle it out against each other! Up to twenty four players can spawn in the allotted tubes at the beginning of the game, one host must operate and control the fun for everyone else by pressing a button to release them! One one player is allowed to win the Survival games, so you have to battle it out to end against your friends and companions!
The Survival Games 2 map provides a large open world, a giant city with many hidden treasures and now with the new ability to spawn in zombies for an even greater challenge! POSITIVES: I personally think that this map is far superior to its first edition, with the new addition of the large open city comes lots of new possibilities! NEGATIVES: I cannot argue with any features of this map, it is compact and well constructed!
First of all, you need to download the Survival Games 2 Map for Minecraft 1.6 and extract the files of the download to your desktop for later use!
Creating your own tileset from scratch probably takes four times longer than you had originally estimated. So I had finally managed to finish one tileset, I figured I’d be better at estimating how much work goes into creating them. To this date, at least as far as this article goes, I am only about 93% done with my newest tileset, and I’ve been working on this since March. It’s not about skill, or finesse, or how good of an artist you are—though those things will certainly help you out—it’s all about managing your time, and realizing that completing these tiny images will eat up a huge chunk of it.
This is why a lot of artists still end up relying on the default RTP, or resource packs already made available to the public for their tilesets, with maybe an edit here or there, but never almost 100% custom.
I’m still looking at my own tileset from time to time and think out loud; “How did I spend several months working on this!?”.
Other artists, who underestimated the effort it takes to create a tileset, get discouraged because it’s taking so long, and then they stall their work, or never complete it.
First and foremost, it requires you to be able to draw, the better you are at art, the better the result. And then, when your tileset is full, you realize you still have objects left—but there’s no space for them anymore!
All in all, tilesets require lots of planning, lots of correcting, lots of testing, lots of tetris, lots of idiot proofing—honestly, only about 60% is actually about drawing the tiles. What would you, as someone who has built tilesets, say is a fair price for a hired commission? That’s cool, but the whole point of this post was to show a peek of the tileset you are creating, now wasn’t it? Actually, she added the images just because I asked her to to make the article more pretty.
What people don’t realize when they press a button and they can draw terrain so easily, is that they can do so so easily because an artist worked very hard to painstakingly draw every corner and border of every terrain combination possible. Read on to learn how that works, along with some basic survival tips and others bits of knowhow that should help you stay alive just a little bit longer. Wall weapons and doors can be accessed at any time, provided you have the points, but the 3D Printer and a handful of other elements in Outbreak require power.
One new feature of Outbreak: All throughout the map are little control boxes on the walls that can be interacted with. Weapons work much the same as they always have, with a limited assortment of firearms available for purchase from wall slots and a larger selection of random drops from the 3D Printer, which is the new Mystery Box. Finally, grenades get a new life in Outbreak thanks to some under-the-hood changes to the way they work.
Hyper Damage is the same as Insta-Kill from past games, giving all players one-shot kills on zombies for a limited time.
Hellhounds return from previous games, appearing in rounds of their own just like the infected zombies.
The second easter egg is much more elaborate, and it’s in the same vein as the multi-part, story-driven easter eggs that rules past zombies maps.
Outbreak is the first of four Exo-Zombies maps for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare that bring forth a new storyline.
Similar to Zombies Mode featured in previous Call of Duty installments, Exo-Zombies Outbreak map also features an Easter Egg – finding which requires multiple steps. If you look through this little gap, you will be able to pick up the black box lying there. Once you have picked up the black box, you need to head towards the computer room near the morgue.
If you attach the black box to the computer, you will hear another voice saying that all 4 security badges are required to decrypt the box – a hint stating that the forthcoming steps cannot be done without a full party. If you head left from the area from where you picked up the black box, you will come across a room on your right with a security panel located near the door. Before we move ahead, do note that in order to do this step, all four characters must have exo-slam ability.
Once you have done so, get to the top of the Containment Chamber and jump down with exo-slam. You need to keep doing it for a little while and the printer will eventually spit out the key card.

From the hints that I have gathered from the Internet and by inserting the black box into the computers, one thing is clear: the last key card is located somewhere in the Incinerator Room.
Once you get to the Incineration Chamber, ask the player controlling Deck to hip fire all over the ground. Once you’ve acquired Clearance Level #50, you need to head towards the area where you placed the black box during Step #2.
Once you start hearing Ride of the Valkyries, head outside to your initial spawn location and enjoy the ending. My next step is start collecting more tools, I still need a hammer and a saw and some wood then I’ll hunker down and start fortifying this biotch. The best items are in the chest in the center of the map, however these come at a price as there is a large risk of death! I wanted to create an exterior and interior tileset for the B-E tiles, not to mention different seasons for the exterior tiles. In fact, I even managed to scratch some things I had made because I wasn’t satisfied with them and restarted from the ground up. Because it’s simply faster this way, even if they could, theoretically, make their own tileset. Or people who are looking to hire artists to create a tileset for them, don’t realize they’re underpaying their artists because they’re under the impression that creating a tileset is easy work. But good luck planning out an entire sheet so that it fits in perfect 32×32 squares, and so that all your objects take up the appropriate amount of space, and that there are no stray pixels from one object bleeding into another object, and there’s no empty tiles left that you might have missed. I tend to include these as extras for parallax mapping (but then I still risk getting complaints because people don’t know what parallax mapping is). I think the real interesting part is explaining to people how much work goes into what she and other tileset artists do. Its just that there is so much more than you would think that even at that speed its a huge undertaking. You take an existing tileset (or a blank template like here – make sure to create extra rows if you need more length) and change the length of the picture.
While many of the classic mode’s familiar elements get new names, basic strategies, design concepts, even easter eggs remain the same. There’s a handful of power stations around the map that you need to interact with, and turning one on activates any powered machines in the vicinity.
You start with a weak-ass pistol and some grenades, you spend points to improve your situation, and leaving one zombie (or, better, a legless crawler) around at the end of a wave gives you the freedom to explore a bit.
There are four possible rewards from these: Sentry turret, aerial assault drone, camouflage (makes you temporarily invisible to the zombies), or credits.
Much like the earlier boxes, the 3D Printer appears in several locations, but only one is active at a time. Thrown explosives now scale in damage as you get to later waves, so they’re always effective. Zombies drop them occasionally (and Hellhound rounds always end with one appearing), and they can be collected for a variety of benefits. They give off a cloud of green gas and pass whatever funk they’re carrying onto any players they come into contact with. They’re fast-moving targets that run low to the ground, so they can be tricky to take out. In previous zombies maps, you could get a song to play over the game by interacting with an assortment of not-at-all-obvious locations.
In this guide, I am going to break down all steps one by one which are involved in finding this Easter Egg. Once you pick it up, you will hear a voice saying that the box is encrypted and you must decrypt it – something which is discussed in later steps. If you stand near these computers for a while, you will hear some sort of beeping noise coming out of them. Once all security panels are activated, go to the room (located on the immediate right after heading left from the crash site) and you should see two small slits in the glass panel. Now I do not know whether anyone can pick this card or not, but allowing Bill Paxton to retrieve his own card definitely works. In order to move the pipe, you need to shoot it with anything from a .9mm Pistol to an LMG. Once you have acquired the weapon, you need to go to the 3D printer in the large circular room and keep the laser beam aimed at the printer while Rose McGowan gets near and melee it. There are a total of 2 of these located on this map: one is right after the Decontamination Chamber and the other one is right above the Exo-Suit Room. The first one was simply a collection of all the resources I’ve made over the course of three years that I spent making free resources for the community.
When I started, days trickled by as if it was nothing, and before I knew it, I was only half-way done and already two months had passed.
A lot of budding artists, much like myself, think it’ll be easy to create their own tileset.

But no one wants to spend six months on only the graphics when they have to make the actual game as well. I’ve put in more than over 350 hours for this tileset (I use a handy dandy program called ManicTime that keeps track of this for me)—probably closer to 400 hours as the creation of a tileset doesn’t only include the use of an art program—and that’s all spread across those several months I’ve been working on it. Not to mention you have to set it up in such a way that people can use it without any instructions, so tiles have to look like actual objects, and not like jigsaw puzzle pieces.
So you have to decide; do you create an entirely new image that only takes up a few puny tiles while the rest is blank, and risk people complaining about how ‘empty’ your tileset is (or worse; they think it’s an error, or they’re missing tiles), or do you turn it into a characterset (which means doing math, and people might not ever think of looking inside that folder for tile objects)? Sometimes you face down special zombies, such as Hellhounds, EMP zombies (which temporarily short out your Exo suit), and gas-spewing infected that, if they get a good hit in, require a trip to the map’s lone decontamination shower. Instead, each discrete location has a power station of its own, and turning it on gives you access to the goodies in that location. Each one recharges after some amount of time, so it’s a good idea to keep an eye out for the green panels. Instead of one, big change after you upgrade a gun, Outbreak upgrades span 20 levels, with more incremental improvements for each level.
New contact grenades, one of Outbreak’s wall weapons, are very handy to have in later waves.
They crackle with blue energy and have the ability to temporarily deactivate your Exo suit abilities if they score a hit on you.
Note that we haven’t had the opportunity to tackle either of these personally just yet, so thanks to those credited below for doing the heavy lifting. So, you will have limited time before getting out of the area using the Trash Chutes placed at the far wall. But rest assured; keep on firing on the ground across all sides and the card will eventually pop-up. This map provides players with a choice, they can download the first part for a more relaxed setting, or part 2 for a city dwellers dream! The second one was my first real tileset, in the sense that everything was 100% made by me, and also included a TileE.
Not to mention real life bothered me quite a bit (not only did I go on vacation to another country for two months, I also spend a month and a half moving out into a new place), which made sure that my tileset’s progress dragged on forever. Honestly, either I’m terrible at estimating, or I’m severely underestimating the amount of effort and work that goes into creating a tileset. A crappy artist might actually spend less time on a tileset than a very good artist, because the better you are, the more you’re able to see flaws in your work and the more time you spend on fixing them. You’ll probably end up spending a lot of time playing tetris with your tiles to try and fit them into the tileset since it’s all so rigid.
Or do you throw your hands up in the air, and say; well I’m just not going to include this?
I’ve created a lot of autotiles that I end up editing, or fixing, or simply replacing with newer ones, and they’ll never see the light of day.
Then you just copy-paste the tiles into the set and line them up to fit the 32×32 grid.
You can build up a big group of zombies behind you and wipe a large chunk of them out with just one well-placed grenade toss. The funny thing is, when I assembled my first tileset together, it took me about two weeks (since I did end up creating new resources for it, and I had to fix autotiles) to wrap it up. That’s not to say I worked every single day (I did take breaks to prevent myself from going insane from drawing), nor did I work in a consistent schedule (some days I’d work 12 hours, other days it was 3 hours). Fortunately, I can always use them for something else, but it won’t end up in the tileset due to its rigid formats. And Power Surge is Outbreak’s Fire Sale, which activates all 3D Printers temporarily, reducing their cost to just 10 points. And that’s a mistake a lot of people make, and they end up underestimating the effort it took to finish it.
Those will fall out of the grid and get cut off, so you’ll probably end up with either a very wonky shadow, or no shadow at all. I’d rather not have an entire image for only one autotile (since RPG Maker VX Ace now allows you to use multiple tilesets), so I cram everything I have in one image.
Fortunately I know perfectly well how they work, but it doesn’t make it any less time consuming.
There are a lot of artists out there who actually do this—keeping the space empty I mean—but they also get the backlash of the community who will complain about ‘missing parts of the tileset’ or ‘there’s an error and my tiles aren’t showing up’ or simply ‘wow what an empty tileset’, so I decide on full images.
It’s easy to create a square bookcase in a few minutes, but animating a water autotile with corners? Autotiles in general will always take longer, so be prepared to spend more than a month on finishing up those pesky TileA1-A5 tiles.
