Snake Plissken is renowned for being one of the most popular anti-heros in cinema history.  The year is 1998 and as a result of huge crime rates, the United States turns the island of Manhattan into a maximum security prison where hardcore criminals are put for life. I'm Kai's bat shit crazy co-host on the MILFcast and he and Dylan, the hetero-life mates invited me over here at Man, I Love Films to write your Wednesday lists.
The only downside, the image at the top reminds me that there is no sign of a UK release date for The Day yet. I started replying to this post with a few more suggestions but there were so many I decided to turn it into my own post.
The amount of love for this movie makes me sure that I’ll dig it, but it is tough to find almost 3 hours to watch something that could be potentially depressing.
After surviving his first year at Jedi Academy, Roan Novachez thought his second year would be a breeze. This year, Roan will have to face alien poetry tests, menacing robots, food fights, flight simulation class, online bullies, more lightsaber duels, and worst of all…a girl who is mad at him. A new permanent exhibition at the Natural History Museum will showcase some of its collection's most significant and valuable objects from 4.5billion years of our planet's past. Guy the Gorilla: Guy was a western lowland gorilla who lived at London Zoo from 1946 to 1978.
Inspirational exhibits: This glass anatomical study, left, made by the Blaschka family between 1886 and 1889 using techniques which are now lost is one of 187 such models that will go on display at some point. Left, an illustration from Audubona€™s The Birds of America, which is the worlda€™s most expensive book and one of the best-known natural history books ever produced.

On the Origin of Species, first edition: A rare copy of the book that changed the way we look at the world around us. Moa bone fragment: the first fragment of moa bone to be discovered, unearthed in the 1830s by Richard Owen, the first Superintendent of the Natural History Museum. Botanical breakthroughs: Left, George Clifford's herbarium sheet, which helped young Swedish scientist Carl Linnaeus to devise a structure for naming specimens. Iguanodon teeth that are around 137 million years old: These teeth were discovered by Mary Ann Mantell in 1822.
Sacrifices for science: This Emperor penguin egg was one of only three fresh eggs collected during Captain ScottA?s ill-fated last expedition to the Antarctic in 1910. Dwarf elephant tooth: This fossil tooth and jaw bone were discovered in Cyprus by palaeontologist Dorothea Bate.
Hans SloaneA?s nautilus shell: Beautifully carved, it is easy to imagine why this shell was one of Hans SloaneA?s favourite specimens. Alfred Russel WallaceA?s insects: A rare personal collection, assembled in Southeast Asia, 1854A?1862.
The skull of a north African Barbary lion thought to have lived in the Tower of London around 1280A?1385: This lion would have been the jewel of the KingA?s menagerie and, after the ancient native lions, is the oldest lion to be found in the UK. All the bridges leading into the city are mined, a large wall is built along the shoreline and a large police force army is based there to stop or kill any attempted escapees. This tells a story, another moment in time in a hero’s life that just happened to be captured along with great action, inventive new fight scenes, invigorating battles, and something altogether new and different in the science fiction genre.

I love what you have to say about 28 Days, Invasion of the Body Snatchers (so freaking creepy), Children of Men, and (above all) 12 Monkeys.

Visitors will be able to view specimens which inspired breakthroughs in the fields of botany, mineralogy, zoology and palaeontology, and delve deep into the backgrounds of the worlda€™s most famous naturalists.Charles Darwin, Hans Sloane, Alfred Russel Wallace and Richard Owen are among the celebrated characters that have populated the Museum with some of its 70million treasures.
Upon a terrorist attack on his plane The President ejects and escapes only to find himself in the middle of the prison.  Ex-soldier Snake Plissken is offered his freedom if he goes in. It also gave us a situation where massive animals can live indefinitely in hibernation, and the male wakes up first, but it’s all the females that are killing us, and there’s only one male, so why are there females around now? He agrees but the complications are many, even though his robust bravado is without question undeniable.  This is a great science fiction action film that shows where man kinds violence will eventually lead them. When the school bullies take him under their wing, he decides they aren’t so bad after all — or are they?
