Fatty predatory fish like sharks, sword fish, tilefish, and albacore tuna may be high in omega-3 fatty acids, but due to their position at the top of the food chain, these species can also accumulate toxic substances. The omega-3 fatty acids in fish oil are thought to be beneficial in treating hypertriglyceridemia, and possibly beneficial in preventing heart disease.
Prostate cancer is a form of cancer that develops in the prostate, a gland in male reproductive system.
Researchers said, “The finding that the low-fat, fish oil diet reduced the number of rapidly dividing cells in the prostate cancer tissue is important because the rate at which the cells are dividing can be predictive of future cancer progression. The scientists tested blood samples before and after the diet commenced, and examined tissue from surgically removed prostate glands.
The research team is now planning a larger study with 100 men with prostate cancers who were not being actively treated but receiving regular biopsies and check-ups. Free Samples are offered for a limited time so when they are posted please take advantage of the offer before it is gone. Supplementation with omega-3 fatty acids from fish oil can provide many amazing benefits–including being healthy for your skin and eyes and even helping protect your skin from the sun. Collaborative basic science research is conducted with Israeli institutions, such as the Weizmann Institute, Hebrew University, and Tel Aviv University. BLUESTAR® Identi-PSA is a rapid qualitative test in a device for PSA detection from traditional biological samples (serum, plasma, or blood), but also from sperm samples collected with a swab either on the clothes or on the body of the presumed victim of a sexual assault. The prostate specific antigen (PSA) is an intracellular glycoprotein (molecular weight: 34,000 daltons) only synthesised by the male prostate gland and in seminal plasma. This protein is now used by the forensic medicine as a choice marker to detect sexual assaults, even when they are committed by men who had vasectomy. The method employs a unique combination of monoclonal dye conjugate (mouse) and monoclonal antibodies (solid phase) to selectively identify PSA antigen in the samples, with a high degree of sensitivity. As the test sample flows through the absorbent paper, the labelled antibody-dye conjugate binds to the antigen, thus forming an antigen-antibody complex. The reaction mixture continues flowing through the absorbent paper, past the test zone and the control zone (C).
An assessment of the BLUESTAR® Identi-PSA test was performed in 1997 in order to use it in forensic medicine.

You have probably heard about the main hormone that is secreted by the adrenal glands during stressful situations.  But do you really know much about this important hormone? While it is vital to health for the adrenals to secret more cortisol in response to stress, it is also very important that bodily functions and cortisol levels decrease and return to normal following a stressful event. Unfortunately, in our current high-stress culture, the stress response is activated so often that the body does not always have a chance for the cortisol level to return to normal.
Increased abdominal fat, which has a stronger correlation to certain health problems than fat deposited in other areas of the body. Have you ever mentioned a health issue to your doctor, or a friend or relative, only to be told that it’s probably just related to stress? In any case, before jumping to conclusions or dismissing their well-intentioned advice, you may want to make sure that your body’s mechanisms for dealing with stress are in good working order. Yet today, perhaps more than ever, our bodies (and minds) are constantly bombarded with stressful situations that trigger adrenal activity. When it does, we may become debilitated by chronic fatigue and a variety of other troubling physical symptoms, such that we are ill-equipped to deal with life’s daily stresses.
For example, consider the case of two men, Jack and Bob, on a crowded transcontinental airplane flight.   Jack flies frequently for business trips, while Bob has not flown on an airplane for many years due to his fear of flying. The plane encounters unusual turbulence, causing the pilot to warn everyone to take their seats and put on their seat belts. For Jack, this is fairly routine and normal for long flights, and he dozes through the event.
For Bob, this causes extreme terror to the point of causing excessive sweating, rapid heart beat, and so on.

Indeed, people can seem as if they have a wonderful, stress free lives, however there are plenty of people with deep stressors that are adversely affecting their heath. Because of the significant adverse health effects of these stress reactions, our goal must be to try to reverse this reaction as much as is possible.
These stress reaction causes hormone imbalances, because hormones can be suppressed or secreted in excess. The cortex, or outer surrounding layer, produces over 40 different hormones called corticosteroids, which are essential for responding to more prolonged stresses, such as physical exertion or strenuous exercise, injury, illness, infection, or worry.   Hydrocortisone (also known as cortisol) is thought to be the most important corticosteroid.
Hydrocortisone’s primary function is to stimulate the conversion of protein to glucose, which is vital to maintaining appropriate levels of blood glucose for brain function and use of the muscles and tissue, especially between meals or snacks.
Other steroids produced by the cortex affect muscle and tissue growth and development, and regulate our fluid and electrolyte balance.
Being part of the endocrine system, the adrenal glands work in conjunction with the thyroid, pituitary, and hypothalamus glands. The initial event in the stress reaction occurs in the hypothalamus, which secretes CRH (corticotropin releasing hormone).  This CRH travels to the pituitary, where it will stimulate secretion of ACTH (adrenocorticotropic hormone).  This ACTH will travel through the body, eventually arriving at the adrenal glands, where it will stimulate production of cortisol! Hypoadrenalism was first described by Sir Thomas Addison in 1855, so it is sometimes called Addison’s disease. Some people are born with low adrenal function (sometimes called congenital hypoadrenalism), especially if their mother was hypoadrenal during pregnancy. While it may seem more prevalent today, adrenal dysfunction is not necessarily the result of our modern lifestyles. These illnesses can be effectively treated and often reversed by giving the patient small amounts of cortisol. Studies showing the safety of doses of prednisone up 10 mg a day (equal to 40 mg per day of hydrocortisone) over long periods did not use DHEA to mitigate the side effects of corticosteroids or address any hypothyroidism which would make any patient more susceptible to cortisol’s potentially negative effects.
In the past, there has been some confusion about the benefits of cortisone and hydrocortisone treatments. In addition, many people confuse cortisone and hydrocortisone with their more potent derivatives (such as prednisone and dexamethasone), which may produce undesirable side effects with prolonged use. After years of successfully treating patients with smaller doses that more closely resemble those that the body naturally produces, Dr. Reduce the amount of carbohydrates in your diet, because refined starches and sugars can interfere with adrenal gland function.

Fish oils contain the omega-3 fatty acids eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), precursors of eicosanoids that are known to reduce inflammation throughout the body and are thought to have many health benefits.
Although, fish oil has many health benefits, there are also some studies that revealed that fish oil consumed during pregnancy, may not be beneficial for mental growth of child as thought.
They made the discovery after testing prostate tissue samples taken from men with the disease.
To facilitate translational research, the department features the only on-site research lab in Israel that conducts basic prostate cancer. Unbound conjugate binds to the reagents in the control zone, producing a wine-couloured band indicating that the reagents are functioning correctly. The publication of these results shows that the BLUESTAR® Identi-PSA test is perfectly suitable for this use as far as sensitivity, specificity, and feasibility are concerned. Some of the health problems associated with increased stomach fat are heart attacks, strokes, higher levels of “bad” cholesterol (LDL) and lower levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL), which can lead to other health problems.
Perhaps they’ve even suggested that your health problem would most likely go away if you simply reduced the amount of stress in your life?
As it turns out, you cannot judge someone’s stress just by talking to them and trying to evaluate by asking them questions. And as described here, an excess or deficiency in one hormones always affects the balance of other important hormones, throwing the entire system out of whack. The medulla, or inner portion of the adrenal gland, produces epinephrine (formerly called adrenalin) and norepinephrine.
If any one of these glands begins to malfunction, the effects often ripple through other endocrine glands (and eventually the whole body), making it difficult to tell which one is actually the true source of the problem. The reverse condition, an over-productive adrenal gland, is called Cushing’s disease or hyperadrenalism. In others, it may manifest over time as the adrenal gland becomes increasingly inadequate in responding to stress (known as acquired hypoadrenalism). Berman noted, many people with an adrenal dysfunction report being overexcited when they should rest and sleep, and tired and weak when they need to function. Jefferies was an award-winning endocrinology research fellow at Harvard University in the late 1940s when the adrenal hormone cortisol (hydrocortisone) was discovered.

Jefferies distinguished himself by recognizing early on that the problem with cortisol was not its inherent toxicity, but the excessive doses used. Much of this research has been done using prednisone or prednisolone, but the doses that have been shown to be generally safe are comparable to or higher than the doses of hydrocortisone that Dr. It is worth noting that as excess of hydrocortisone can cause such problems as weight gain, fluid retention high blood pressure and high blood sugar, DHEA tends to reduce all of these problems.
As such, appropriate natural hydrocortisone replacement therapy typically eliminates most (if not all) of the symptoms of adrenal insufficiency, sometimes producing astounding results.
This confusion primarily stemmed from the fact that the earliest treatments relied on doses that were much higher than those normally produced in the body, which produced some undesirable and potentially hazardous side effects.
Jefferies and others now promote the use of hydrocortisone as a safe and effective treatment for hypoadrenalism. Jefferies recommends dosing these replacement medications four times per day to maintain the body’s normal levels. Use relaxation techniques and hobbies to help you deal with the stresses you can’t avoid. Fish do not actually produce omega-3 fatty acids, but instead accumulate them by consuming either microalgae or prey fish that have accumulated omega-3 fatty acids from microalgae.
Prostate cancer may cause pain, difficulty in urinating, problems during sexual intercourse, or erectile dysfunction.
They found that just four to six weeks on the diet was enough to reduce the growth of cancer cells. Sunsafe Rx is made with a number of natural ingredients, like omega-3 fish oils, from foods and plants that are all clinically shown to prevent skin damage from both UVA and UVB rays. The test offers both very high sensitivity and high rapidity, as well as simplicity compared with a traditional ELISA method.
They can become overworked, sometimes to the point of exhaustion, and hypoadrenalism may result. In either case, this condition can stem from a problem with the adrenal gland itself (primary hypoadrenalism), or result from a related dysfunction, such as a problem with the hypothalamus or pituitary gland.    Secondary acquired hypoadrenalism seems to be the most common form. In fact, people with adrenal insufficiencies tend to have a low basal metabolism, similar to people with hypothyroidism. Not surprisingly, the primary symptom of adrenal dysfunction is excessive fatigue (some people may think they have chronic fatigue syndrome). From the start, it was obvious that hydrocortisone was amazingly effective at reversing the symptoms of such illnesses as rheumatoid arthritis.
Over and over, we see the benefits of hydrocortisone and even various synthetic forms of cortisone. Low thyroid, on the other hand, has been found to promote fluid retention and weight gain on its own. Over the years, many healthcare practitioners have assumed that any dosage potentially produces the same results (which evidence indicates is not true). For most people, the typical treatment option would be a medication called cortisone acetate or hydrocortisone (Cortone and Cortef respectively, and their generic equivalents).
Some people may also experience symptom relief using naturopathic remedies, such as licorice root. A study revealed that fish oil is beneficial in slowing down the growth rate of prostate cancer.
Independent studies showed increased risk of prostate cancer by consuming vitamin E supplements and eggs. The same effect was not seen in persons who took a regular western diet with no fish oil supplements.
It’s safe, healthy, and incredibly effective at helping you maintain your youthful appearance. They are responsible for increasing your heart rate and blood pressure, and mobilizing sugar from your liver into your bloodstream. Unfortunately, the doctors soon found out that the huge doses that they used were highly toxic. Unfortunately doctors still insist on using excessively high doses for while ignoring other hormones such as DHEA and thyroid hormones which act to limit the side effects of cortisol. Berman, the patient “cannot sleep when he lies down, he cannot keep awake when he stands up. Atkins emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy hydrocortisone level to minimize the effects of stress and aging.
As he works himself up into his hysterical state … irregular blotches may appear on his face and neck. Generally, his hands and feet are clammy and perspiring, his face is abnormally flushed or pallid … As the blood pressure is too low for his age, the circulation is nearly always inadequate and palpitations of the heart is a frequent complaint.
