Free parenting enewsletterFinding trusted child health and safety information doesn't have to be hard. We are driven by our values of safety, compassion, ownership, collaboration, innovation and value creation. Here are the seven things that parents can do to help their children be successful this school year. Avoid criticizing your child’s choice of friends but don’t be reluctant to compliment or condone values or behavior that is different from what you find acceptable. This is a great way to give back to your community as well as stay connected with what is going on in your child’s life. Grades matter but they do not reflect your value as a person or the contribution you will make to society. Focus on helping your child develop a good work ethic, high moral standards, trusting relationships and a positive attitude.
With those attributes, your child will live a meaningful life even if he doesn’t get outstanding grades in school.
