Today’s circuit targeted my core and incorporated a lot of plyometric exercises that got my heart rate up fast. It was rather rainy outside when I went to make myself breakfast this morning, so I figured a pretty smoothie would be a good way to counteract the dreary day. The strawberries dominated the flavor (and color) of this smoothie and that was fine by me.
Speaking of strawberries, are any of my Florida friends out there planning to attend the Florida Strawberry Festival this year?
In addition to lots of fun concerts and carnival rides, the festival also has some ridiculous food. Is there a festival or big outdoor event in your area that you look forward to attending every year?
Though it isn’t a festival, when we lived in Orlando, Ryan and I looked forward to attending the Baldwin Park Doggie Derby every year.
Ab work is my nemesis but I know it’s needed and I’ll admit, I like that soreness after a good workout! Our local Taste of Red Deer, it is mainly a dessert event that is held with our Christmas Festival of Trees event.
I just moved to Boston, and I found out around Christmas that there is a marshmallow fluff factory near me. I hope your day is off to a good start and that your weekend holds some fun and relaxing plans!
It alternated heart rate-rising cardio exercises with abdominal exercises for a circuit workout that left me with a burning core and a sweaty face. A quality workout must be followed by a quality breakfast and today’s morning meal fit the bill.

I made myself a bowl of uncooked old fashioned oatmeal (it’s hot outside and I actually like uncooked oatmeal), topped with unsweetened vanilla almond milk, crushed almonds, a spoonful of almond butter and a drizzle of honey. I wasn’t sure how the almond butter would do in a cold bowl of oats, but it added a lot of flavor once I smashed it into the oats with my spoon and stirred everything up. Oh, wow, this reminds me of those yummy no-bake oat cookies made from nut butter….except in the form of a cereal! 5) If you pick up a bodybuilding training guide make sure that it’s straight to the point. 13) The coolest thing in the world is the pump that you get in your arms when you train them with higher reps. 15) The more water you drink during training the better your joints will feel after the workout. 21) Don’t believe what anyone tells you, the guy that get big just by doing push-ups, chin-ups and dips have great genetics.

I was in a restless mood and after 20 minutes on the elliptical, I was ready to complete a circuit workout that kept things moving. During the summer in my town there are always a ton of festivals with AMAZING food – like the Greek, Italian, and Portuguese festivals!!
I just pinned it and hopefully will fit it in this afternoon when I’m done with class! Last year, I attended an event called Dig-In: A Taste of Indiana with all local Indiana foods and wines and it was soo much fun! I like it when ab moves are incorporated into a circuit with other exercises; otherwise, I end up blowing off doing any ab work at the end of a workout!
Instead of using your upper abs like you usually would, use your lower abs and bring your hips off the floor and crunch in reverse.

Since I have a super-ninja memory, here’s some of the bodybuilding training guide tip that we threw out. Not sure if there are any festivals in particular I’m looking forward too, there are always a ton of street fairs here in Chicago during the summer, everyone is just craving to get outside after the long winter! Haha, actually my school has a big concert every year, and have famous alumni come back and sing for us. They have a fluff cooking contest and marshmallow shooter that they hand out to all the kids. I hope you enjoy little glimpses into my life and have fun trying the sweaty workouts I frequently share and making some of my favorite recipes along the way!
I think I’d stick with the fried oreos and the strawberry bowl that you’re eating and looks delicious! So you get talking to people and you find out that they are reading all types of bodybuilding training guides and trying to find the best information possible to change their bodies.
Another one just loves bodybuilding and the last one just wanted to be shredded for the girls. You ened up talking to one person then his workout buddy comes over then the guy doing crunches next to you start throwing stuff in and before you know it, you’ve got a group of people all talking about bodybuilding. My point, stop worrying about the bodybuilding training guides that tell you A-Z how to do things.
