A plantar wart on toe can be very painful as it rubs against the other toes and against socks and shoes. Simple warts have a single capillary feeding the infected dermal cells and are typically respond better to treatments. Soaking the feet in a solution of apple cider vinegar and water has been known to provide relief from the pain and itching of foot warts.
This involves injecting the foot with an anesthetic and then using an electrical device to destroy the wart tissue. Their are 2 main types of Planter Warts they are singular warts and multiple or mosaic warts. It is really important to seek advice early, we see far too many patients that have let them spread to the point that treatment becomes very difficult and often more painful than it needs to be. A mixture of six parts salicylic acid1and one part trichloroacetic acid is applied to the wart and covered with another piece of tape. Mosaic warts tend to spread very aggressivly and over time they can occupy large areas of the foot making them difficult to treat. Plantar warts on feet can be treated with over the counter medication, or they can be treated with prescription medications.
Since these warts on toes are caused by the HPV virus, there is always a chance the warts will return.
An individual may choose to try over the counter wart medications that contain salicylic acid. Singular warts on the other hand are singular lesions hovever thet also are inclined to spread forming satelite warts in close proximity to the initial point of infection, these warts are often more painful than mosaic warts.
