I used Watco Teak Oil for the chair on the left and Sikkens Cetol for the chair on the right.
I'll snap a few pics later, but they pretty much look the same as they did after finishing with a little dirt. I hate to even suggest it, cause it's evil, but spray on furniture polish will be the easiest thing to apply. I also made an urn for a neighbor at his request, about six years ago, he is now 89 years old and has yet to use it thankfully.
I applied a total of two coats, applying the second coat with a 1000 grit sanding pad and wiping off the excess.

So if the finish is thicker in one area, it will be incredibly noticeable because the color changes. The pigments will help to even out the wood tones, which may be a good thing or a bad thing depending on your perspective, and they also help block UV. I didn't follow the manufacturer's instructions simply because I don't want a super thick film finish on my chairs. It takes less than an hour to treat your wood with WATCO teak oil finish-simply brush or wipe on and wipe off.
Easy to apply and beautiful to look at, WATCO teak oil finish is the choice of fine woodworkeers and novices alike.

Great for outdoor or indoor furniture and on marine surfaces such as a wood boat decks, cabinets and rails.
