I agree with all the facts that you mentioned about social media specially the mobile social media facts.
I’ve never thought of the rise of large non-English speaking social networks in other countries. I wonder if some of them will ever gain more of a global following and be translated into English for Western nations. Amazing is up to now in social media facebook rating is still fairly high compared to other social media .

It isn’t surprising to find that 15-24 year olds use social media as the defacto means to communicate, leading to diminished use of instant messaging and email. Facebook’s success is tied to the fact that it made it easy early on for smaller advertisers to use its self serve ad platform. Today Facebook dominates but during 2011 Google got serious and launched Google+ which became the fastest growing social network in history and reached 25 million userss in less than 30days. Amazing to think so much reach for Facebook, I wouldn’t have guessed it was that much.
Meanwhile, in just 20 minutes on Facebook over 1 million links are shared, 2 million friend requests are accepted and almost 3 million messages are sent. Twitter is still to produce an easy to use advertising platform and it till it does it will continue to struggle monetizing its network. To put that in perspective Facebook took 36 months and Twitter 33 months to reach that number.
