These stylish and lightweight headphones
come in a host of fun colours
ou can always count on the
Scandinavians when it comes
to cool style and simple, clean
design. Just about everything they do
seems to be in vogue, be it fashion,
interior design, dining or even TV detective
shows. These brightly coloured Bagis
headphones, by Swedish brand Urbanears,
show that Scandi cool can extend to
gadgets and accessories, too.
Choosing headphones is not a task to be
lightly undertaken – after all, MP3-lovers
want to do their tunes justice – but there
are so many brands out there and you

don’t want to pay premium for a poor quality
product. Urbanears shows that you
can
select a pair of affordable headphones with
style and substance in equal measure. This
Swedish company has a wide selection of
vibrant headphones, and although we like
their over-the-ear headphones, in a variety of
snazzy colours, we think the compact Bagis
are excellent value for money. At just £24.90
(
€29), they offer fairly stellar sound (the
bass could be a little punchier for our liking)
and good noise reduction. The packaging
(
sadly it doesn’t come in a paint pot!) is neat
too: a clean, simple and smooth box in the
colour of your chosen headphones. If you’re
prone to snagging your headphone wire on
coat zips and pockets, its rubber housing is
cleverly combined with fabric and TPE cord,
which also eliminates distortions caused
by friction. They’ve even got a microphone
with a simple button. The headphones come
with multiple ear tips to make sure you get
the right fit. The best bit, though? All the
different colours you can choose from. Our
favourites are olive, grape and pumpkin,

pick from coral, forest green, indigo, petrol
blue and mocca.
