WIZZ AIR IS TO DOUBLE ITS FLEET
investment at Belgrade by adding one
new Airbus A320 and launching four new
low-fare routes to Basel, Corfu, Oslo Torp
and Rhodes. In addition to these new
Belgrade routes the airline will increase
frequencies on its existing services
to Brussels Charleroi, Eindhoven,
Göteborg, Malmö, Munich West and
Stockholm Skavsta.
Wizz Air now offers 13 international
low-fare routes from Belgrade. This
significant growth at Belgrade reflects the
airline’s strong commitment to Serbian
aviation, with Wizz Air’s fares enjoying
huge demand by travellers who previously
have not been able to enjoy air travel due
to high fares.
Meanwhile, in September we opened our
new route from Kutaisi to Kiev. This new
route will operate three times per week
and is the first low-fare airlink to/from
Georgia. Kutaisi is Georgia’s second largest
city and home to the country’s parliament,
which is housed in a stadium-sized, oyster-
shell-shaped building. Other sights include
the magnificent Bagrati Cathedral and
Gelati Monastery, both of which are
UNESCO World Heritage sites, and have
commanding views over the city.
Looking ahead to Winter 2012/13, Wizz
Air will start flying from Lublin to London-
Luton and Oslo. Lublin
(

is a major city in the east of Poland that
enjoyed a golden age in the 16th century,
when it was an important link between
Krakow (then the capital of Poland) and
Vilnius in Lithuania. It retains a great
many beautiful historic buildings including
the castle, with its Chapel of the Holy
Trinity that contains unique Byzantine wall
paintings dating back to 1418.
Wizz Air’s Lublin route to London-Luton
starts 18 December (operating Monday
and Friday), with the Lublin-Oslo route
commencing in early 2013.
