City suggestions
Sofia is in love with the best kept
secrets and many of the most
interesting eating and drinking
spots are hidden away. The city is
teeming with hidden bars, cafés
and shops, tucked in unlikely places
from car parks to shopping malls.
Ask a native – try
Candlebar
(www.
candle-sofia.com) or
Chocolate
(www.chocolate.bg) to get going.
And finally...
Sofia is a great city for late-night
partying and can be easily navigated
on foot. With street signs and maps
using alphabets interchangeably,
however, it’s best to splash out for
a quality map which records both
Western and Bulgarian street names.
