CABIN BAGGAGE POLICY
Wizz Air’s new cabin baggage policy is set
to transform the way we travel – eliminating
the excessive number of bags taken onboard,
avoiding overcrowded aircraft cabins and
minimising delays caused by offloading
cabin bags.
After a successful trial on Wizz Air’s
London to Katowice route in August 2012, in
which passengers brought 20% fewer large
bags into the cabin, the new cabin baggage
policy has been rolled out across the
network. From October, passengers who fly
with Wizz Air can travel with a small cabin
bag (up to 42x32x25cm) for free, or pay
€10 online to bring a large cabin bag (up to
56
x45x25cm) on board. Save up to 50% by
purchasing the appropriate size cabin bag
on wizzair.com. Please visit our website for
complete details regarding the new policy.
ROMANIAN EXPANSION
This year is set to be another exciting year for
Wizz Air and Romania! As of May 2013, three
new routes will open from Bucharest airport –
to Oslo, Geneva, and Alghero in Sardinia.
We are also increasing capacity at
Tirgu Mures, with new routes to Frankfurt
Hahn and Forli Bologna. Wizz Air now offers
a total of 11 low-fare routes to/from Tirgu
Mures. Wizz’s new route from Tirgu Mures to
Munich Memmingen, will start operating on
1
April 2013.
Wizz Air is also expanding its presence at
Cluj Napoca in 2013, basing a third aircraft
at the airport and launching new routes to
Bari, Brussels Charleroi and Eindhoven in
May, as well as increasing frequencies on a
number of existing services. Wizz Air now
offers a total of 16 low-fare routes to/from
Cluj-Napoca.
And finally, from 20 May 2013, Wizz Air
will start flying to and from Craiova, the
sixth largest city in Romania. Wizz Air’s first
route will be to Milan Bergamo, flying twice
weekly. Widely considered one of Romania’s
most important political cities – this is where
the 1913 peace treaty that ended the Balkan
War was signed – Craiova is famous for its
beautiful churches, neoclassical art museum
and botanical garden.
