view. Down in Sok Kwu Wan, or Picnic
Bay, kaidos bob about and straw-hatted
locals tend to the floating cages of the
fish farms.
Sok Kwu Wan village is a Tin Hau
temple, the ferry pier and a row of
waterside restaurants in between. After
conquering the 4km trail, the final
challenge is to reach the boat back
to bustling Hong Kong without being
distracted by the tantalizing tanks
standing outside seafood restaurants or
fragrant aromas billowing from hidden
kitchens.
