CDO flights
now from
Laguindingan
The Civil Aviation Authority of the
Philippines (CAAP) has required all
commercial and private operations in
the Lumbia Airport (Cagayan de Oro)
to transfer to the new Laguindingan
Airport, with effect from June 15, 2013.
CAAP is currently in the process
of commissioning runway lights. In
the meantime, given Laguindingan
International Airport’s (LIA) sunrise/
sunset limitations, flights can only
operate during the day.
Because of this, flight changes
including cancellations will
be implemented. Check
cebupacificair.com
for details.
CEB has contacted and re-
accommodated more than 22,500
passengers affected by the above
flight cancellations and schedule
changes. It is also sending out emails
to more than 53,000 guests regarding
the airport change in Cagayan de Oro.
Passenger figures are from April 30 to
July 31 only.
Guests may also call our
reservations hotline (2) 702 0888
(
Manila) or (32) 230 8888 (Cebu) for
details on their re-accommodation.
Options for affected guests include
rebooking or rerouting for travel within
30
days with no penalties, full travel
fund or full refund.
Cebu Pacific will launch direct flights between the island of Cebu and Taipei,
Taiwan on July 5. This strengthens the airline’s Cebu hub, increasing its total of
international routes to seven.
CEB believes this new route will open up tourism and trade opportunities
between the Philippines and Taiwan, and provide tourists with the lowest fare
alternative on the most extensive network in the Philippines,” said CEB VP for
Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.
Taiwan is one of Asia’s most appealing destinations, with top attractions
including the Sun Moon Lake, the Alishan National Scenic Area and the National
Palace Museum.
CEB’s twice-weekly Cebu
Taipei service will fly every Monday and Friday. It
will depart Cebu at 7.40pm and arrive in Taipei at 10.20pm. The return flight will
depart Taipei at 11.05pm, and arrive in Cebu at 1.45am. Lowest year-round fares start at
PHP2,399.

the maiden flight passengers from Cebu,
while Camiguin Governor Jurdin Jesus
Romualdo, Mambajao Vice Mayor James
Ederango and DOT Region 10 Director
Catalino Chan were present when CEB
launched the service in Camiguin.
During his speech at the Camiguin
Airport launch event, CEB VP for Airport
Services Antonio Jose Rodriguez said,
Before, tourists used to travel to Cagayan
de Oro and take a three- to five-hour ferry
