TOUCHDOWN
Travelers arrive in
Negros via the Bacolod-Silay airport in
Silay City. It’s about 15km north-east of
Bacolod City, or about a 30-minute drive
if there are no traffic jams. There are also
plenty of tricycles.
SEE &DO
Aside from visiting the local
attractions of Bacolod, try to experience
one of the happiest, if not one of the most
colorful festivals in the country — the
Masskara Festival, which is held every
year in October. It is like the local version
of Mardi Gras.
SLEEP
One of the best hotels to
stay is the Sugarland Hotel.
