We asked our friends
to share who makes
them feel proud to be
Filipino. Here are our
favorite answers
Proud
to
be Pinoy
Frances Lorraine Ang
The hardworking Filipinos in the service industry
make me proud. Wherever we go in the world,
from restaurant to hotel staff and domestic
workers, they all work round-the-clock in order to
make others’ lives easier. More often than not, they
get the least recognition but
if you really think about
it, what would life be
without them? Despite
that, their cheerful
disposition remains
and they are still warm.
Seeing them makes me
proud to be a Filipino.
Congratulations
Frances!

Overseas Filipino workers make me proud. Being
away from home can be unbearable but because
they desire to make the lives of their families better,
they choose to work in a foreign country, where
they barely know anybody.

Pinoy singers like Lea Salonga, Arnel Pineda and
Charice Pempengco make me proud because they
show the world how talented we are.
