Cebu Pacific expands its regional network
from Cebu, with the launch of direct twice-
weekly services to both Kuala Lumpur and
Bangkok.
CEB began operating a Tuesday, Saturday
service from Cebu to Kuala Lumpur on
December 8, 2012. The maiden flight left
Cebu at 4:45pm, and arrived in Kuala Lumpur
at 8:10pm. The return flight departed Cebu at
8:55
pm, and arrived at 12:20am the next day.
Last December 9, 2012, CEB launched
its Thursday, Sunday service from Cebu
to Bangkok. The flight departed Cebu at
4:50
pm, and arrived in Bangkok at 7:20pm.
The return flight left Bangkok at 8:10pm and
arrived in Cebu at 12:40am the next day.
CEB already operates about 25 weekly
flights from Cebu to Seoul (Incheon), Busan,
Hong Kong and Singapore.
Cebuanos can now book our trademark
lowest fares for a weekend of adventure in
Kuala Lumpur or shopping in Bangkok. We
are confident these direct flights will also
contribute to Cebu’s booming tourism and
travel industry, which remain one of our
priorities. We will continue to grow our Cebu
hub to encourage even more Juans to fly,”
says CEB VP for Marketing and Distribution
Candice Iyog.
She added that passengers can now
take any of CEB’s 20 direct domestic flights
to Cebu, and connect to South Korea,
Singapore, Hong Kong, Malaysia and
Thailand.

Cebu Pacific in partnership with
PLDT Global's Smart Pinoy and
SUN Cellular, launched the
CEB SIM November 26, 2012.
This co-branded SIM has since
been distributed for free to OFW
passengers bound for Singapore and
Malaysia from Manila.
The CEB SIM card offers great
deals in calling and messaging to
the Philippines and offers reliable
customer support abroad. When
calling a Sun Cellular number, the
user gets free raffles entries for
a chance to win roundtrip tickets
from Singapore or Malaysia to the
Philippines. The SIM also comes
with free preloaded values of SGD1
in Singapore and MYR5 in Malaysia.

CEB flew close to 9.8 million passengers
from January to September 2012, an
increase of 12% compared to 8.7 million
passengers flown in the same period
last year.
The growth was driven mainly by the
strengthening of the airline’s domestic
route network out of Cebu, and additional
capacity to key international destinations.
We were able to increase passengers
from Cebu to Visayas by 47%, to Luzon
by 42%, and to Mindanao by 30%. This
best illustrates the Cebu Pacific effect —
whenever we enter new markets or add
capacity, we effectively stimulate travel
and enable everyJuan to fly with our
trademark low fares,” says CEB VP for
Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.
Notable growth can also be seen in
CEB’s international passengers to and from
Malaysia (19%), Taiwan (25%), mainland
China (29%) and Brunei (24%).
