Our guide:
Camille Porras
Camille spent her childhood in Davao.
She headed back to her roots seven
months ago and has since made up for
lost time — exploring the city and the
beautiful beaches nearby. In her own
words: “I’m excited to share what I’ve
discovered!”
1
Arrive on a Saturday and check
in at Apo View Hotel (www.apoview.
com).
2
But before heading to the beach,
enjoy lunch of home-cooked meals at
Belito’s Vineyard (
Palm Drive, Bajada
).
Must try: Gambas, Crispy Pork Ribs
and Paella Negra.

At the Waterfront Hotel, the
resort’s boat will take you across the
channel to Chemas by the Sea Resort,
where you can spend the afternoon
lounging or swimming. A table with an
umbrella (it’s mandatory to get one) is
PHP500.
5
Head back to Apo View and start
your evening with dinner and drinks
at Cellar, five minutes away from the

Spend the following day beach
hopping on a party boat! The Explore
Davao boat has beanbags, iPod docks
and boatmen who can grill your food
(
Before
heading to the Pearl Farm marina
where the boat picks you up, drop
by the supermarket to buy drinks,
seafood and meat for lunch, and
snacks to bring on the boat. The boat
has a cooler with ice where you can
store everything. Also, arrange ahead
of time for some Beckro’s Lechon —
it’s the best! — and the staff can take
care of this for you.

Head back to the hotel to rest and
tidy up, then have a refreshing dinner
at Sea Green Café and Lifestyle Shop
(
Blk 10, Lot 19, Circumferential Rd,
Doña Vincenta Village). Think fresh
seafood and vegetables. Apart from
comfort food, local products are also
sold in the café which promotes
locally crafted products that support
livelihood programs. Must try: French
Toast, Roasted Pumpkin Risotto and
pasta dishes. After dinner, go for drinks
at Forth & Tay located at Damosa
DAVAO
complex), about 10
minutes away from
Sea Green. The cozy
wine bar also serves
local and imported beer,
has delicious pica-picas and
plays great music!

The next day, have breakfast at
Paradise Beach Resort in Samal.
Catch a cab to their pick-up point
in Lanang. From there, a boat ride
takes just five minutes. Inhale all
the sea breeze you can on the last
day of your vacation. The place has a
nice, long shore and is very affordable.
Head back to the hotel and get ready
to fly home on a late flight out.
Cebu Pacific flies to Davao from
Manila, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro and
Iloilo.
