Boracay emerged as the number one favorite destination for
relaxation in a customer survey conducted by Agoda.com,
Asia’s leading hotel booking website.
The island beat the perennial favorite Bali, which came in
at second. Koh Samui in Thailand rounded up the top three.
Boracay also bagged the third spot as top destination
for nightlife. Bangkok, Thailand’s energetic capital and
Dubai in the United Arab Emirates came in first and second,
respectively, in the category.
Boracay is the only Philippine destination that has made
the top 10 for both relaxation and nightlife categories. Manila
ranks 22 in the nightlife category, while Cebu landed the 19th
spot in the relaxation category.
Agoda.com asked customers to rate destinations in two
categories — relaxation and nightlife — from 1 to 5, with 1
being poor and 5 being excellent. The poll had over 113,000
respondents.
Boracay was voted as the best place for a long-weekend
escape in last year’s

Awards.
