TIONG BAHRU
Get to know Tiong Bahru, Singapore’s oldest housing
estate. The Tiong Bahru Community Heritage Trail
is being launched by the National Heritage Board
this month and will lead you through the area’s
distinctive art-deco architecture and popular food
joints. One of the landmarks included in the trail is
the Tiong Bahru Market, the first modern market
built in a housing area in Singapore.
ORCHARD ROAD
Sashay your way through Samsung Fashion Steps Out
2013.
Check out the Fashion Pops lifestyle bazaar from
April 5 to 14, where you can shop for the latest, hottest
clothes and accessories. Then on May 4, be there when
Orchard Road transforms into one huge runway. Watch
as models wearing pieces from 2013 spring/summer
collections strut their stuff and literally stop traffic!
