Cebu Pacific in partnership with
PLDT Global’s Smart Pinoy and
SUN Cellular, launched the Hong
Kong CEB SIM last month.
This follows the Singapore
and Malaysia CEB SIM launch in
November 2012. The co-branded
Hong Kong SIM has since been
distributed for free to Hong Kong-
bound OFW passengers from Manila.
The CEB SIM card offers great
deals in calling and messaging to
the Philippines. It also provides
reliable customer service abroad.
When calling a SUN Cellular
number, the user gets raffle entries
for a chance to win round-trip tickets
from Hong Kong to the Philippines.
The SIM also comes with a free
preloaded value of HK$4.

Flying out
of Cebu?
If you have a domestic flight originating
from or passing through the Cebu airport,
be prepared to pay the PHP200 domestic
terminal fee when you purchase your
airline tickets.
The Mactan-Cebu International Airport
Authority started including the domestic
terminal fee into the cost of all airline
tickets on March 1.
Those who booked their Cebu tickets
before March 1 will still pay the MCIAA
terminal fee at designated terminal fee
counters at the airport.
“
Last August, all airlines began
collecting the domestic terminal fee
for flights out of Manila. With one less
queue, the arrangement has successfully
improved passenger flow at the airport,”
said Candice Iyog, CEB VP for Marketing
and Distribution.
“
From Manila and now Cebu, our
passengers will no longer have to line up
and pay the terminal fee after checking in
for their flight,” she added.
CEB offers the most flights out of
Cebu, with 22 direct domestic and 6
international routes.
CEB took delivery of its 43rd aircraft on
March 7, just in time for the airline’s 17th
anniversary.
Acquired brand new from the Airbus
facility in Hamburg, Germany, CEB’s 43rd
aircraft is the 2nd Airbus A320 aircraft in
the Philippines equipped with Sharklets,
a new fuel-saving wing tip device. CEB
now operates the largest Airbus fleet in the
Philippines, with 25 Airbus A320 and 10
A319 aircraft. It also operates eight ATR 72-
500
aircraft.
The airline will launch direct flights from
Cebu to Camiguin on April 15, and from Cebu
to Masbate on June 1, using CEB’s ATR 72-
500
aircraft fleet.
CEB will operate flights from Cebu to
Camiguin every Monday, Wednesday and
Friday. The flight will depart Cebu at 6.45am
and arrive in Camiguin at 7.25am. The return
flight will depart Camiguin at 7.45am and
arrive in Cebu at 8.25am.
Meanwhile, CEB will operate flights from
Cebu to Masbate every Tuesday, Thursday,
Saturday and Sunday. It will depart Cebu at
6.15
am and arrive in Masbate at 7.10am. The
return flight will depart Masbate at 7.30am
and arrive in Cebu at 8.25am.
“
With these new flights, Cebu Pacific
continues to drive tourism and trade to new
regions in the Philippines. We now operate
flights to 34 Philippine destinations, on 62
city-pairings or routes. This gives our local
and foreign tourists the opportunity to visit
more destinations in one trip,” said CEB VP
for Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.
