GO GREEN AND STAY LEAN
Robinsons Supermarket is on a mission to educate and empower
consumers on food choices by making it easy for shoppers to spot the

Robinsons Supermarket encourages shoppers to choose “healthy” products through green
tags. The “green tags” on products is part of a four-color shelf tag system implemented by the
supermarket that aims to help shoppers choose the right products according to their needs.
Products labeled with green tags are those that fit different nutritional needs. These include
products with low levels of sodium, energy (calorie), fat, saturated fat and cholesterol. Green-
labeled products also include those that are good sources of fiber and protein, and are sugar-
free. These products are usually displayed in the Health and Wellness section.
These products underwent evaluation by the Food and Nutrition Institute’s Department of
Science based on the guidelines for use on nutrition and health claims, an internationally
known standard referred to by nutritionists and food companies. With the green tagging of
products, Robinsons Supermarket shoppers immediately know that these products offer
special nutritional benefits.
