MOVE TO A GLOBAL (B)EAT
Tasting a country’s signature cuisine, in my opinion, is the most important thing to do —
and also, thankfully, one of the most enjoyable. It’s a fully immersive way of getting to know an
unfamiliar land. I’m getting hungry just thinking about all the things I have sampled and have
yet to sample.”
work’s taken me from England to Thailand,
Australia, Malaysia, China, Singapore,
Taiwan and India. I’m looking forward to
wherever else it takes me!”
George shared a few of his most
memorable travel moments yet, and some
tips on how to make the most of every trip.

loves a lot of things about
his work. “As an actor, I enjoy tweaking my
personality to fit the character. As a presenter,
I’m a slightly amplified version of myself. And
as a model, I play and move with the camera,
which is the focus of my attention most of
the time,” says the Greek-Chinese celebrity,
who grew up in the UK and is now based in
Singapore. George’s past projects include roles
in the Bollywood film

and

He’s currently busy with the

where
he becomes Guy — an aspiring scriptwriter and
producer’s assistant. It runs until October 7 at
Singapore’s Drama Centre Theatre.
Each profession complements the other.
And all three beat working as a lawyer, which
I did a few years back,” he quips. Another perk
George can’t get enough of is traveling. “So far,

HAVE A TASTE FOR
ADVENTURE
Taiwan is one of my favorite places to visit
because it offers such a varied selection of
things to do. You can hit the beach, climb
a (sometimes snow-covered) mountain,
and trek through a rainforest,” he says. A
friend took a series of pictures of George’s
first time sipping bitter tea. “It’s a traditional
drink in Taiwan that’s famous for being,
well, bitter. It certainly lived up to its name
it was perhaps one of the most bitter
things I’ve tasted.”
Dining in Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia or
Thailand will ensure plenty of satay-sfaction
