The InterContinental Hong Kong unveils a stunning new
look for its iconic lobby and new signature cocktails
to sip on during your stay
What’s
shaking?
Sip on Victoria Harbour-themed cocktails
at InterContinental Hong Kong’s spruced
up Lobby Lounge
Renowned for its unparalleled views of
Victoria Harbour and the city’s famous
skyline, the lobby of the InterContinental
Hong Kong has been “the place to see
and be seen” for over three decades.
And just recently, the venue has been
given an impeccable makeover. Thematic
inspiration for the revamp came from the
natural movement of Victoria Harbour,
with its horizontal wave formations, and
the warm metallic shades of the Hong
Kong skyline, such as bronze, silver
and champagne gold. At the center of
the new design is a dramatic art piece,
which doubles as a communal bar table.
Weighing approximately 2,000kg, this
free-flowing table is made of African
Padauk, African Rosewood and American
burled poplar, all forming a very unique
shape: the base resembles the belly of
a whale resting on “stilettos” — solid
wooden legs with steel cores.
In addition to its new look, the Lobby
Lounge has some new flavors as well.
The latest selection of signature cocktails,
V-Sips, are also inspired by the hotel’s
unique position on Victoria Harbour.
Cocktails include the Nine Dragons, Victoria
Sunset, Fragrant Harbour, Peak Me Up,
Hong Kong Skyscraper, Smoke & Mirrors,
Asia’s World City and Avenue of Stars.
