GET ACTIVE
One of the first steps to a healthy
body is to include some activity
in one’s daily routine. Try brisk-walking,
dancing, cycling or whatever sport you
enjoy at least three times a week for half
an hour or more.
Need a fun and exciting way to
jumpstart your fitness program? You
and your loved one can join Robinsons
Supermarket’s 5th Fit & Fun Buddy Run
this July 1, 2012. Registration is from May 1
to June 20, 2012.

RELAX
Small pleasures can often provide
meaningful results, so know when
to take a break and unwind. Practice yoga;
take a nap, a dip or a stroll; maintain a
positive outlook; play with your pet; spend
time with your family; get a massage
and laugh! These things and other
“heartwarming” activities may help reduce
the risk of heart disease.

EAT SMART
When we eat better, we’ll also start
feeling better. So incorporate more
fruits and green leafy vegetables into your
diet for a more balanced and healthy meal.
But there are also a lot of products that are
good for the heart, such as oatmeal, olive
oil, tomatoes, carrots and salmon.
A warm bowl of oatmeal fills the belly
for hours with its high fiber content. Top it
off with fruits for added texture, vitamins
and minerals. Use olive oil for cooking or to
make a nice dip for wholegrain bread. Add
tomatoes into your sandwiches or pastas.
Choosing to eat healthy doesn’t mean
depriving yourself of food.
Visit Robinsons Supermarket’s Health
& Wellness section for its wide selection
of healthy products. Or check out their
produce section for the freshest choices in
fruits and vegetables.
