Taxis are available both at the
airport and Dapa Pier. You can also ride a
habal-
habal
or an extended-seat motorbike to get to your
lodgings. There are mini and jeepney buses on the
island itself.

When the surf is good, you will see most
people surfing every day at Cloud 9. You can also
go to Daku Island for a picnic on the beach or to the
Tidal Pools in Pilar. Spend a day with a trip to the
inland lagoon of Sohoton Cove.
BYNIGHT
Go to the Boulevard for a few drinks
and karaoke. Bones Sports Bar near Cloud 9 is
a fun place to meet some expats who are now
considered locals. There's 9 BAR in Gen. Luna,
which hosts open mic nights.
SLEEP
Stay at the Boardwalk in Cloud 9 Resort.
It has a range of rooms to suit any budget. It also
probably has the best location on the whole island.

Upon arrival, you can hire
a jeepney or tricycle to get around the city.
Although there are no taxis, most hotels offer a
complimentary van pickup from the airport as
well as for departure.
BYDAY
Go island hopping. Try swimming at
Sagisi, spelunking in Buenavista or splashing
around Basul. Jump off to Sohoton Cove, swim
with stingless jellyfish and explore the nearby
islands in Bucas Grande.
BYNIGHT
Surigao's night scene is still emerging,
but you can check out Club Alcatraz and Mario's
Grille right at the city center. Or head up to Hotel
Tavern and Kody's Music Bar for live music, good
food and drinks.
