CEBU PACIFIC AIR (CEB)
flew close to 12
million passengers from January to December
2011, up 14 percent from over 10.5 million
passengers in 2010. The rise in numbers
is mainly due to a 22 percent increase in
international passengers, which reached over
2.72 million in 2011. CEB added flights to Hong
Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Brunei, Singapore, Ho
Chi Minh City, Seoul and Bangkok since the
start of 2011 to meet the demand.
Meanwhile, the airline flew 9.22 million
domestic passengers, up by 12 percent
from 8.23 million in 2010. CEB attributes
these increases to capacity additions to key
destinations, lower fares due to the unbundling
of baggage allowance, and the arrival of five
brand new Airbus A320 aircraft in 2011.
Last January 2011, President Benigno
Aquino III and CEB President and CEO Lance
Gokongwei awarded its 50 millionth passenger
with an unlimited one-year travel pass.
“We look forward to serving 14 million
passengers in 2012. Cebu Pacific will continue
to boost tourism and trade in the destinations
we fly to, and offer the most innovative travel
services to our guests,” says CEB VP for
Marketing and Distribution Candice Iyog.
CEB will also be the only airline to operate
a Manila-Hanoi service starting March 17. It
will reopen its Manila-Xiamen service, and
begin its first international flight from Kalibo
with its Kalibo-Hong Kong flights on March
23, 2012. For more information, visit

Corporate and
Government Sales team (CEB BIZ)
encourages private corporations and
government offices in the Philippines
to gain access to CEB’s online booking
facilities. They can enjoy many discounts
and incentives. Routes Online, the airline
industry’s central source of market data
and route development information, has
stated that CEB is the largest carrier in
the domestic Filipino market. “[It offers]…
almost twice as many internal flights per
week than its rivals and accounts for a 41.3
percent share of the domestic capacity.“
“CEB operates the largest network
in the Philippines, and its corporate and
government accounts get to book CEB’s
trademark lowest fares themselves. This
suits the needs of companies with a lot of
travel needs,” advises CEB VP for Marketing
and Distribution Candice Iyog. Email
