TOUCHDOWN
From the airport, take a jeepney
(PHP7) or tricycle (PHP20–25) to the
pueblo
(city)
as there are only a few taxis. Plissap Rent-A-Car
charges a minimum of PHP150, and may be the
best way to go.
BYDAY
Take a 15-minute motorboat ride from the
mainland to the island of Sta. Cruz. You need to
make reservations, but the island’s pink sandbar is
worth it. Swing by the newly opened Mar Y Monte
Resort for its range of activities too.
BYNIGHT
Visit the shrine of the La Virgen del
Pilar, then proceed to the adjacent Paseo del Mar.
From this 2.5-hectare seafront parkway, you can
view the sunset as you enjoy a delicious dinner.
You can also go bar hopping at Catribo Complex.
SLEEP
Barely a five-minute ride from the airport is
the Garden Orchid Hotel along Governor Camins
Ave. It has a swimming pool, a lobby bar and
restaurants.

TOUCHDOWN
The airport is within the city, and
there are plenty of tricycles at PHP6 a ride. For
trips to nearby towns, there are vans and taxis
for hire. It only takes about 20 minutes to get to
Panglao Island as traffic jams are rare.
BYDAY
Bohol is a haven for nature, culture and
heritage. Cruise along the Loboc River for lunch,
visit the Tarsier Sanctuary, then spend time at the
Bohol Bee Farm. That’s assuming you’ve already
seen the Chocolate Hills, beaches and churches!
BYNIGHT
Have a beautiful sunset and twilight
walk in the garden behind Café Lawis, just behind
Dauis Church. If you’re staying in Bohol Bee
Farm’s bed & breakfast or Panglao Bluewater
Beach Resort, have an evening dip by the pool.
SLEEP
If you can afford to indulge, choose
Panglao Bluewater Beach Resort. It’s perfect for
couples and even solo flyers.
