sharks will be a hit with the kids. Shop at Suria KLCC
and catch a concert by the Malaysian Philharmonic

restaurant. No Black Tie has awesome jazz
performances, while Zouk on Jalan Ampang has
rooms with genres ranging from techno to 80s and
90s music. Barsonic is tops with the indie crowd.

The Kota Kinabalu International
Airport is only 10 minutes away by taxi, which
usually costs about RM20 (PHP281). Be sure to
negotiate and agree on the fare before you step
into the cab.
BY DAY
The First Beach at Tanjung Aru is
fantastic: it’s sun, sand and surf just minutes away
from the city. Enjoy fresh coconut water out of the
shell and take in a view of gently lapping waves,
islands in the distance, and a truly gorgeous sunset.
BY NIGHT
Right in the city is the Jesselton Point
Waterfront, Kota Kinabalu’s main jetty where
dozens of boats dock for the night. It has a good
number of bars and restaurants, and stalls that
provide hookahs with flavored tobacco.

Hyatt Regency Kinabalu is within walking
distance from shopping centers, clubs and
restaurants. Its Shenanigan’s Fun Pub is one of the
city’s hot nightspots.

approximately 10 minutes (about 10km) away
from the center of Bandar Seri Begawan (BSB).
There are taxis, car rentals and regular public bus
